Breakfast with friends here has taken as long as 3 hours. Not because of the service, which can be slow, but because of the food, fruit juices expesso coffee and the Music. The place feels like someones kitchen, not a restaurant. The restaurant is built in the old Costa Rican style-open air with lots of air movement. Breakfast items are the best. Go Tico inspired or standard North American-it's all very good. The music is 60's and 70's inspired and may take a while to pick up because it isn't playing overly loud. This place just feels like home. Apparently we are not alone because a heavy dose of the extranjero contingent that own homes here frequent this place for breakfast. I first came to Playa Flamingo in 1989 and Marie had already been at this location for 3 years. Came into town on the back of a motorcyle and never left. Thanks Marie. We're glad your here.
