Here is a place you can belly up to the bar, drink till you are blind and order up some great food. You need to get the sliced roast beef sandwich. Big enough to share.

Nice quiet place to play darts. $5 drinks. Service was alright, nothing special but the 23% tax is already calculated into the menu so that is a perk.

What a blast we had at Woody's! The pizza is excellent, and I am a native New Yorker so I know of what I speak. But the thing that made Woody's so much fun was interaction with the staff, and ambiance of the place. Roselle is one of the most delightful and fun waitresses we had the pleasure of chatting with. She is not just the server, but she and her husband Woody own the place. We ate there two days in a row and absolutely loved it. Both days it poured outside of the open restaurant adding to the atmosphere. They speak English there, which was a welcome relief after being in country for three weeks. Not that I did not enjoy practicing my Española, but it gets a little tiring. Watch out though, they keep the drinks coming at rapid pace!

While staying in Playas del Coco in April, we discovered Woody's, a short walk from our condo and on a main corner in town. While we never had a meal there, we did stop in a few times to share a plate of chili cheese fries and a couple of frosty beers. The fries were delicious (and plentiful - easily shared by two), and the staff always extremely pleasant. We always sat on the stools/bar facing the street - it's a great place to people watch! Wish I was there again now!!
