Woody's is on the Main street in Playa Coco and is a great place to sit, enjoy a meal and cocktail, while people watching and enjoying the town pass by. Rocell, the owner, and the bartenders are friendly and efficient. Paul, Rocell's husband, does the cooking and always comes up with an interesting variety of menu items.

They haven't yet found their spot back in Coco, and prices on the menu are a bit high. The menu is super limited, though if you go once in a week you are probably OK. Pretty short happy hour, 4-6pm with OK but not great happy hour prices.

They have a pool table and darts though for a change of pace!

Restaurant located near Playa del Coco beach, the food is great and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing.

Our first night in Coco, we were starving and this was the only place open, and we were the only ones dining at that time (there were some locals at the bar). I'm in the bar and restaurant industry and while I expect certain things to happen in a kitchen, I guess I don't expect to actually witness them happening. The cook would wipe his hands on a black, dirty towel (that may have at one time been white) while cooking our meals. Then he used the same dirty towel to clean the equipment afterward and close up. It was gross!

That said, I ate it anyway and the food was actually good (did I mention I was starving?). The next two mornings, we ate at the breakfast buffet. It was more than reasonably priced and had a solid selection of basic breakfast foods - eggs, fruit, toast, sausage, and for those wanting a CR breakfast tortilla and rice and beans. Coffee was plentiful and service was wonderful.

I would come here again for breakfast but NEVER again for dinner after what I saw. It is CR and there are cleaner, better restaurants out there.
