LOVE this place! This restaurant was recommended to us by Amy at Avispa's Adventure and I am sooo glad she did. They make wonderfully brick oven pizza and provide you with some homemade chips and dip while you wait. There menu has a bit of everything which made it easy for our large group to help satisfy everyone!
I've been to Donde Johann before and revisited it twice on my current trip. The staff is friendly, especially the young male waiter and the pizza is as good as it gets in Costa Rica. Nice atmosphere, open bar and a nice clean environment.
Its nice when you can find a nice out of thew way restaurant, located off the beaten path that also serves very good food.
Just try anything on the menu and you will enjoy something new.
Driving past this restaurant, you wouldn't necessarily think to stop. If you don't...you are missing a treat! They have a wood-burning oven for fantastic pizza! Also, fantastic sushi and seafood dishes. The yucca chips are to die for!! Stop in and check it out....just outside of Playas del Coco.
