“The bridges”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

This is a nice tour though the jungle in Arenal. Best done with a tour guide, we had Aventura Arenal and they were great, since they add color to the walk. There are few sightings of animals and without a guide it would be hard to find them, but that is the same in all of Costa Rica.

“If it's not in your budget don't bother”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013 via mobile

The bridges are nice and it's a nice walk through nature but you don't see many animals. We were lucky and saw an owl and a red frog but nobody saw anything besides that on a two hour walk through the jungle. I saw more birds and monkey's on the drive back.

“Monkeys and Blue Jean Frogs!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

My 15 year old son, husband and I took this tour recommended by our hotel. Guide was a eco student....really personable and could spot wildlife! Without a guide we would have missed everything. We could hear the monkeys....but we could not find them without the guide. We were walking down the trail and he spotted blue jean (poison dart) frogs at the base of a tree. Sure they are bright red....but at the pace we were walking we would never have noticed them. The bridges get higher and higher in the canopy. Really a spectacular way to see the rainforest at different levels!

“very cool hanging bridges”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

We went to the hanging bridges on August 2, 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed it. We went in the afternoon, and practically had the place to ourselves. This was great because it meant we could jump up and down on the bridges, get them swaying back and forth, etc. It is a lot of fun, although not for the squeamish or those afraid of heights. The hiking aspect is quite easy, and I recommend the optional trail to the waterfall. The whole thing only took about an hour and a half - it is a two mile trail, but you go slowly to take pictures and enjoy the experience. It is pretty inexpensive as well.

“Day well spent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

We went to the park in the morning. Unfortunately only portion of park was open due to mud slides from very heavy rain a day before. The hike was comfortable even without hiking shoes - boat shoes were more than adequate. Bridges are done very well and even they move with your every step, you still feel secure.

Then we took Sky Tram to the top for a spectacular view. The older son went zip lining from this point and he had blast (we could see it from his go-pro camera later at hotel), the rest of us went down on a same tram.

There are small restaurant with very generic hot dog-burger type place and gift shop.

Very strange fees structure to get thru this park.
