“Take a guide!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013 via mobile

We took the visit with a guide from 10am to 12.30. Had a great time! The guide was very knowledgeable and able to find animals that we would otherwise never have seen! He was fully of random interesting facts about both the fauna and flora. I have seen some reviews saying that the path is bar to walk on. It's the rainforest, not Disneyland!
Thoroughly enjoyable experience! Highly recommended.

“Beautiful, but extremely over crowded”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

I was very disappointed, only tour I ever walked out on. The park seriously needs to control the flow of people and tours that enter at 1 given time. Within the first 10 minutes we were passed by 10 guides and at least 100 people, all making alot of noise. I turned to my wife and the guide and said " I'm Leaving". DON'T GET ME WRONG, a very beautiful place and the hanging bridges are amazing, but if you expect to see much wildlife and get a photo, FORGET IT. Also, the trail is made with waffer like concrete blocks so were good shoes, you can twist and ankle easily, hard to walk on. We were there in the first part of february while staying at lost iguana spa and resort. We did do this tour twice but the second was by ourselves and we just booted past everyone we came in contact with, I then did manage to get good pictures of a few colourful birds. So go and do it, but I would strongly encourage everybody to voice to the park that they need crowd control, everyone will benefit from it greatly, have a great trip, Costa Rica is AMAZING.

“Do it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Just did this hike early in the morning... It was rainy today, which had its challenges, but a poncho takes care of most of those. This was our second time to the attraction, so I can fairly say I recommend going early in the morning, on a not rainy day. Once the rain was light enough, we saw toucans, spider monkeys, and mott-mott birds. The hike is steep and uneven in places which can be hard, but take it slow, it is so worth it!

“A great experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

It was $25 pp when we went. We did it without a guide. It took about 3hrs to walk through, we did it with our 6month and 3 year old. Lots of nature to see, not much wildlife. It's very busy, and I think the animals and birds hide.
