As is written in Lonely Planet, do not expect to see ruins like the Incas and Mayas left us. But the ruins and the surrounding forest are definately worth the drive. Imagine a Roman like aquaduct system and road (minus the cart wheel tracks) and you get the idea. Amazing to see that the ancients also knew how to create what we consider to be modern infrastructure. It shows how much we have forgotten as a species.
