“The best hostel in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

Due to my work or leisure trips always step up moving around the country, I must admit that this is the best hostel I've visited throughout Costa Rica. The facilities are modern, always clean with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable and safe stay. No doubt there are few times that I feel completely indulged in one place; Casa de Lis is one of these! Keep it up.

Easy to find, quiet and clean. Enjoyed our stay here. There wasn't much to do here since Volcan Turrialba was closed and that was one of the main reasons we went to Turrialba. Hostel is close to shopping, food, restaurants and easy walk to the bus stop if you don't have a car.

Quiet, clean and cozy hostel. Alex and Lis were very helpful and friendly. Turrialba has one of the best farmer's markets on the weekends so it's a must to check out. Great kitchen space ( I heard they are planning to expand it) free coffee/tea, tons of helpful travel info posted, very clean bathrooms, washer and dryer on site, relaxing outdoor space and pretty secure. I encourage you to go rafting at Pacuare River. I booked with Adrenalina and didn't go through the hostel, only b/c someone else recommended this company to me.

Very nice, cozy and clean hostel. Located in the center of Turrialba, fruits and vegs market nearby. Rooms and dormsa are spacious, freshly renovated. Dorms have bunk beds. Toilets and showers are clean all the time. Very well equiped kitchen for guests. There is also laundry, which is quite important couse you are probably coming here to have some rafting (I deffinitely recommend it, it's awesome) and/or hiking (haven't tried it here). Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Big YES!

Great place, we stayed several nights broken by trips elsewhere. We changed dates and so on with no problems at all, there was a place to store our gear for kayaking and dry it out. The roof terrace was just being finished and an a good spot for a beer of an evening. We even left a memory chip in the room and they offered to post it to the UK....All in all an awesome spot.

We booked the private room for 2 nights and even extended our stay with another night. The room and bathroom (ensuite) were clean and renovated. We even had a balcony to put our wet clothes and shoes to dry. The breakfast was basic but cheaply priced and the supermarkets and other restaurants were only a short walk away. We knew Turrialba as a city as such would not be that interesting, but it's a great location for the canyoning/ziplining and white water rafting on the Rio Pacuare!

Perfect location, really clean, very helpful and friendly owner, lisette, who arranged a rafting trip 5 minutes after our arrival.
Handy map of town, for restaurants etc.
The place has it all! Fantastic deal for the price!
