This hotel is located far from restaurants, and also from the village of Orosi. You need a car to get around there. The hotel is located on a noisy street, and the neighbourgs doesn't feel really safe around..

Aside that, breakfast is good, staff is really nice and polite, parking is safe for the car and rooms are extra larges (so is the bathroom) and clean. free coffee, tv, and the wi-fi area is nice too! stayed 2 nights.

We stayed here for 3 nights and although there are some good points about the hotel but we did find it to be noisy( from the road) and the bed was uncomfortable. I agree with some of the other reviews that the room was large with a kitchenetter and the shower was good, however our sink leaked and the taps were noisy. The wifi worked well and the staff spoke English and were helpful but we would stay at Orosi Lodge if we came again as this was much more peaceful. Your opinion of the hotel will depend on where you had stayed before in CR and we had stayed in better places for the same money and think that the website makes it looks as if it's in the middle of the country whereas its right by the main road with loud dirty lorries charging by.

Modern well maintained Hotel with an excellent breakfast

We can recommend the Tetey Lodge with the provision that road noise and rooster crowing is not a problem. There is no A/C, but the Orosi Valley is cool in the evening so a blanket was needed. Select the breakfast option when you book and you will be well satisfied. The food service starts at 6:00 AM with a good selection of hot meals as well as very good coffee and juice. Rooms have both wireless and Ethernet. There is a very pleasant "outdoor" sitting area with two computers for your use, but there were no printers during our stay. The overall appearance is very handsome with a classic Tico design and good plantings. Also, there is excellent security. We chose a kitchenette room for more flexibility and extended our stay to see more of the valley. The staff is all Tico and very accommodating. The property is on the edge of town but easy walking distance. We plan to stay here again.
