This is a magnificent resort that really pays attention to detail. It is situated in a tropical paradise with gorgeous flowers, plants and birds. Each "room" is a lovely individual cabin with a deck facing the Arenal Volcano, and with a private jacuzzi on the deck. Very friendly and attentive staff take care of every issue -- often before you even know there is an issue. They help arrange for wonderful outings and hikes, and even helped us when we had car trouble. The food is excellent, and the spa and fitness center are also quite good.

Room Tip: All of the rooms face the volcano, and all have a wonderful deck with a jacuzzi and a hammock.

The welcoming staff was incredible. I arrived after dark, so we could see the beauty of the hotel and grounds , but not the surrounding country side. Room was amazing with luxury everywhere. I awoke the next morning to one of the most stunning views I have ever seen.... Arenal Volcano.

I would highly recommend .... and I hope my wife and I are able to return very soon!

Oh yes..... complimentary breakfast was a culinary fantasy! The restaurant at dinner is so beautiful, wonderful soft guitar music, incredible food and a staff that pampers to every need while giving the feeling of a very casual friendship!

We spent 3 days here and we want to go back and spend a week. The rooms are gorgeous.
Love the outdoor jacuzzi on our deck. The foliage around the resort is breathtaking as is the view of Arenal Volcano. The staff is friendly and definitely feels like you are staying in a
luxury boutique hotel.. Food is delicious. We just can't say enough about Nayara.

Room Tip: They are all wonderful

We made reservations a bit late, so we were only able to stay 1 night. The room was lovely - especially lived the outdoor jacuzzi! Service and food fantastic! We even lucked out and awoke to the view of Arenal during breakfast!!

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at - beautiful location, stunning rooms and the friendliest staff. We were made to feel so special in this magical place. The restaurants offered great food, especially the sushi restaurant. We had a stunning view of the volcano and the balcony with the hot tub was amazing.

My daughter and I just returned from a week at Nayara and, like everyone else who reviews this place, I can't say enough positive things about it. It was one of the most enjoyable vacations I've ever had due to the accomodations, staff, activities and location. There isn't anything I would change and nothing I could recommend that would have made the stay any better. We were in Casita #2 which is close to everything, plus we had our morning wake-up call by Carlota (hola...hola..) the resident parrot, along with the many birds that call Nayara home. The breakfast buffet is excellent (make sure to get a granola bar to go), crunchy tuna rolls in the sushi bar were a favorite there, and if you want to splurge do the wine pairings at the wine bar. That was by far the best meal, 5 delicious courses paired with exceptional wines, listening to the guitarist playing in Altimira, while dining on the deck. Finally, I have to say that although the entire staff are so pleasant & helpful, Elquin, the bartender/waiter in the wine bar was absolutely the #1 staff member. He should get an "employee of the year" award! As far as activities, ziplining is a must (we did the Sky Tram/Trek/hanging bridges) and the Rio Celeste River/Tenorio Volcano hike was beautiful (Julio was our guide & very knowledgeable). I look forward to returning one day & taking my husband (who's been hearing me talk about it non-stop since returning).

While I have been extremely fortunate to visit many places, nothing compares to Nayara. It is truly one of a kind! From the time we checked in, the staff was accommodating to your every wish and called you by name. Elquin, the bartender at Nostalgia Wine Bar, is amazing! He went above and beyond to make our trip extra special. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful and well-kept. The casitas are very spacious, containing both an indoor and outdoor shower, as well as a private jacuzzi, hammock, and lounging chairs on the porch. I would enjoy a cup of Britt coffee every morning on the porch before going down to Altamira for a delicious breakfast. The views are incredible no matter where you are on Nayara's grounds. The only minor disturbance was the noise from the construction during my spa treatment. This was completely beyond Nayara's control, and we couldn't hear it from our casita. My massage was wonderful, nonetheless. We had a variety of excursion options and settled on three, as we wanted some time to relax and enjoy Nayara's amenities. We did the Sky Walk/Tram/Trek (zip-lining) one day which was unreal. The guides were very knowledgeable and made you feel safe. We also did the Rio Celeste River and Teniro Volcano hike which was gorgeous. We, once again, had a very informative guide that made the trip so enjoyable. On our last day we visited the Ecotermales Hot Springs and had them to ourselves. I highly recommend all three of these excursions, although it doesn't sound like you can go wrong with any excursion from talking to other guests. I absolutely plan on going back to Costa Rica one day--hopefully in the near future--and stay at Nayara!

Room Tip: My mother and I were in casita two. We loved the location as we were right near Nostalgia (our favo...
