i have been on seven zip line tours over the past few years including one other in Costa Rica. This is hands down the most dangerous and unprofessional of them all! The instruction to the group was short and vague, which for new comers was virtually useless. Upon our first line ride, a first timer incurred a serious injury due to two main reasons: 1.) the tree at the end of the line had no padding for stopping (critical when coming in too fast, and 2.) none of the tour guides had two way radios. It is crucial for the guide at the end of the line to communicate to the guide at the beginning of the line that the cable is clear for the next person. Our friend was sent down before the line was clear. The guides scrambled to get the previous person off in time, leaving no one to "break" the second rider. She slammed into the tree, resulting her having to be taken to the hospital for back injuries. She is in serious pain and not sure as to the extent of the injuries. Another person in our group approached one of the guides about the two way radios and he said that he had been asking for them for many months, but management had refused to supply them to the staff. The injured girl was told by the doctor that they had treated at least 15 people for injuries sustained by this same tour. DO NOT BOOK A TOUR WITH THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU CAN AT THE VERY LEAST VERIFY THE RADIOS AND PROPER PADDING.
