Location it's OK if you want something close to La Fortuna, but no view from most of the rooms.
Hot water powered by LPG that can burn you if you are not aware of it!!
Breakfast opens until 7:00 AM so if you have a tour starting at 7:00 you will miss breakfast, that by the way is very basic, should have more fruit available for guests!!

If you are looking for a quite place to rest with a nice view and pool, this is the place. The rooms are average and they offer the basic things you can need. The hotel also is really close to the town, so you will find supermarkets and restaurants really close to you. The breakfast is good and the staff is friendly. As i said before, if you are looking for a calm non luxury place, this is a good option.

This property was pretty basic little duplex cabins with a nice pool looking up to Arenal Volcano. Bed was squeeky so changed over to second bed next night and it was fine. Breakfast setup was Tico style and average. Property lacked lustre with landscaping way behind good standard of cleanup. There was a guard walking the property at night and the barédisco was only two minutes walk with good food and entertainment. Cabins backed onto a very busy street so noise was an issue. Staff friendly and rates average.

This is a lovely hotel wthin walking distance of La Fortuna. The grounds are extensive and full of plants and birds. There is a very clean pool. My husband wasn't feeling well so we spent a couple of quiet days here, reading and hanging out. The rooms are separate casitas, good sized with 2 double beds, a table and 2 chairs and a small rickety refrigerator. There is AC and cable TV with a no. of English channels. The price includes a complete breakfast--eggs, gallo pinto, fruit, rolls/toast, oj, coffee/tea. On weekends, there's a buffet. During the week, we had a waitress. The staff's English is limited. Most of the other guests are Costa Rican. Lots with kids to play in the lovely pool. If you're looking for a modern, high service place, this is not for you. If you want a quiet, older place with charm, you'll be happy here.
