“A little luxury at a good price after a day of adventures”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

This hotel and restaurant were the perfect way to end a day of high adventure. We really enjoyed the lovely restaurant and especially the homemade desserts. Rooms are spacious, comfy beds, nice and clean. Pool and jacuzzi were great too, and of course it's always nice to have a buffet breakfast.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade when travelling in the green season.

The view of Arenal Volcano from the cabanas and the restaurant are breathtaking. Our stay at Arenal Vocano Inn was very enjoyable. The room was clean, and the service was excellent. We weren't as impressed with the restaurant, but the food wasn't bad at all. We thought the price was a little high and found that the food in town was better priced and much tastier. That aside, we would recommend Arenal Volcano Inn to anyone and definitely stay there again in the future.

Room Tip: The higher up (elevation) the better, we stayed in a cabana that was the highest on the hill and the...

we were booked at this inn for two nights as part of a fly and drive tour in the october low season for our honeymoon. Everyone has a little house and they are arranged in stadium style on a hill so everyone gets a view of the volcano. Upon our arrival in our room they decorated it with towel swans ad fresh flowers everywhere! The maid redecorated on the second night as well!
The staff was very friendly, though ordering food in the morning can be a bit tricky as the waiter does not speak really good english. It'part of the adventure!
The negatives are not too much. The beds are hard, the shower has pressure but terrible water-saving head, makes it difficult to rinse the soap off.
The pool and hot tub were very wel kept, though if one wants to to use the tub, you must call reception 10 minutes prior to let it time to warm up.
This area is very strong on water and energy conservation. We were put off by a sign by the toilet asking to throw outthe used TP in the can and not to flush it. I thought that was disgusting.
I gave this hotel a 5 star despite the little cons because of the excellent pricing, friendly staff and excellent location.

Room Tip: Go to Paradise Hot Springs for 23$ a day or $35 including romantic dinner in a private cabana Wear...

We found this gem, we stopped here because all of the locals spoke vey highly of it. we had a great veiw of the Volcano in the morning, before we went exploring La Fortuna and the Volcano the first day we spoke to the tour lady for advice, she sent us to La fortuna Waterfall and the hot springs, the next day we went white water rafting that she setup for us they picked us up and droped us off at the hotel it was perfect. the hotel was staff was great Andrea, Fernando, Margarita, Juan and Jorge you all made this a great trip for us.

This is a pretty good place to stay when visiting Arenal. all rooms enjoy a view of the volcano (when it's not obscured by clouds), and you are surrounded by beautiful gardens. My room was large, clean and comfortable. I did have an issue with the shower though (there is only a shower, no tub), skinny little shower head with a lot of water pressure behind it, the result was that I felt like I was being stabbed by the water, a rather unpleasant experience.
One other problem I encountered was at the buffet breakfast, rather disorganised. They were both slow at getting food to the tables, and kept running out of things like scrambled eggs and pancakes. Maybe, from reading other reviews, this is not the norm, but it was certainly the case during my stay.

I just traveled there with my wife for our honeymoon, and we were very pleased. The staff was very helpful, almost everyone spoke english, and the food and drink at the bar was appropriately priced.

The only downside: it's not quite walking distance from La Fortuna, and the $10-15 taxi ride each way made going into town a little bit of a drag.

Their spa was a great deal, and the breakfast was the best breakfast my wife and I had the whole time we were in Costa Rica.

Room Tip: room 105, 106, and 107 are at the top of the hill at the hotel, and probably have the best view of t...

Staying at the Arenal Volcano Inn in August. Had a Volcano View and were lucky enough to see the top for 20 minutes one afternoon. There is quite abit of bird life around the rooms hummingbirds etc. Room was very clean, as was the restaurant. The breakfast was extremely good, alot of variety and the hot food was hot not lukewarm!! We also ate here in the evenings as it was so good and reasonable. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend.
