Great room with a fantastic view of the volcano. Our own private outdoor jacuzzi. Included is the freshest breakfast every morning....Costa Rican coffee a treat! For the price you will not be disappointed!!!!! The rooms are big, the grounds are kept emmaculate and the staff is uber helpful with setting up activities. Highly recommend the rafting, horse backing riding around the volcano and zip lining. A very peace location, about 3 miles from La Fortuna. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at another hotel and left due to the location therefore we moved to Volcano Lodge and Springs - this place is amazing from the staff to the arrival. Security is so nice, the views the pools, the food there is not one bad thing I could say. The beds were comfortable, the thermal springs were amazing in their very own pool. This place is definitely Costa Rica so luxurious and wonderful I would definitely stay here again - Simply Amazing! We will be back

This was the second of 3 places we stayed during our trip to Costa Rica. The view of the volcano was fantastic, but often not visible due to clouds (obviously out of the hotel's control). We stayed 3 nights - the first day was perfectly clear but the next 2 were rather cloudy. We were happy that at least we got one good day to get some great pictures. The view from our room was also amazing and I enjoyed running on the hotel's running trail in the morning. The restaurant on site was ok - the food wasn't bad but it was overpriced. It's about 10 minutes to town and we had a car, so just went out for our meals. The free breakfast was good and plentiful. Mostly the same food every day but it was good so we didn't mind. The bed was rather stiff and not very comfortable. The hot springs and pool with swim-up bar were fantastic and a perfect way to relax after a busy day of sight-seeing. And the bar staff actually walked over to the springs to bring us drinks. Of the 3 places we stayed during our trip, I think this was probably our favorite.

The environment at the Volcano Lodge and Springs is very relaxing. The pools and hot springs are really nice. We were able to get one of the rooms that has its own private hot springs which was awesome. The staff was really helpful and polite. The onsite restaurant was really good for breakfast which was included and the dinner was really good too! Not the place to be if you are looking for a crowd. It has a secluded atmosphere. This is a great place for couples, honeymooners, and family's with younger kids (Swing sets and tons of open outdoor area for the kids to run around). Also it was a $20 round trip cab ride into La Fortuna. There are no places nearby to walk to food or shopping.

Like most "volcanic activity" spots, these thermally heated hot springs are therapeutic and wonderfully relaxing. Volcano Lodge & Springs has a nicer "gradually-cooling-as-water-reaches-next-level-down" soaking place than two nearby locations that tout their waters with big headlines. The people working here were polite, friendly (with one exception), and really nice. My husband and I have been in hot spring resorts in New Zealand, Calistoga CA, and now here and really do like the way the water here relaxes us. Perhaps, like the CA hot springs, the rather sulfuric water naturally contains lithium.salts!
