“Private bungalows with views of the Volcano”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2012

We stayed here for two nights near the Christmas holidays. These are individual bungalows & are spread across a huge parcel of land, the grounds are well manicured, it is very private and quiet with views of Arenal volcano. The breakfast was excellent & included made to order omelets or eggs your style, pancakes, traditional rice/beans & plantains, & much more. The bungalows have pitched ceilings with beautiful wood and plenty of birds live on the grounds. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was large and included a bidet. Compared to some of the larger resorts at triple the price, we were very happy with the location, the quality & the price.

Room Tip: I believe most of the bungalows will have a view of the volcano

Brilliant. Lovely individual cabins overlooking the forest and volcano, secluded and with really helpful and friendly staff. A lot of places in Arenal have quite a gaudy, flashy feel - Lomas de Volcan is far more classy. Highly recommended!

Great hotel! Fruendly staff and very cozy rooms! Just a little noisy floors on the rooms as they are woods and when you walk at night you woke up evrybody when u walk.

Staff will help you with tours and provide you with quite good advice!

Would definitely stay there again

Hotel nice, but with too many clouds, we couldn't see vulcano. Breakfast up and down.

Room Tip: Think twice about the weather in this location

The place does not have water. We had 2 rooms and neither room had hot water. We told the staff and they tried to fix the issue but without success. The doors have a gap atbthevbotom which allows bugs to enter the room. We had frog, bee, mosquitoes, and other bugs in the room.

Stayed here for three nights during a two week trip in Costa Rica. Property is well maintained and grounds are well groomed. The rooms are individual cabins and is well furnished with rustic decor, comfortable bed and is very spacious. Bathroom is well appointed, and equipped with on-demand eco-friendly hot water heater. Loved waking up just before the sunrise, sitting out on the terrace with a fresh cup of coffee, listening to the birds and the howler monkeys in the near distance. Would highly recommend staying here.

I stayed here 2 nights as part of a tour. You stay in spacious individual cabins (note - some are up a hill so if you have trouble walking mention it when you make reservations) with A/C, flat screen TV, very nice bathroom and a view of Arenal volcano from your back porch! The food at the restaurant was good. I would love to stay here again.

Room Tip: If you have trouble walking, mention it when you make reservations.
