It was great to have several thermal water pools on-site. The breakfast was great. The room and bathroom were clean. Security was good. There was a safe in the cabin. Great place to get in touch with nature and relax! We could not see the volcano because it was raining. We used the spa services and they were OK.

As the title suggests-
it was good.
Pros: hotel property is beautiful, nice to have hot springs right there, the bartenders at the pool bar were very nice.A/C worked well. Delicious breakfast and Plato tipicos at the restaurant.
Cons: SO far from town. You will spend
at a minimum 5k colones, or $10 at the least, to get into town. The hot springs were lukewarm. Hotel staff seemed to be annoyed by having to do their jobs.

At the end of the day, I would recommend staying in la fortuna and using your money for a trip to baldi or tabacon.

The other thing the Internet and guidebooks did not say was that the volcano is currently
dormant. Nothing much to see from the resort at night.

Beautiful grounds with views of the volcano. Thermal hot spring pools landscaped to give privacy with varied temperatures so you can find the perfect temperature to suite you.. No need to pay extra to visit other hot springs in the area! The standard room was large, clean and well appointed. Nice hiking trails on the grounds where you can see monkeys. The restaurant has very good food and reasonably priced for a resort. Staff are very pleasant and accommodating.

A beautiful property facing the Arenal volcano in an area that hasn't yet been blasted off the face of the earth and is probably not likely to be, unlike others in this area. Great rooms in a beautiful setting, several regular pools and a chain of volcanic hot springs pools coming down the side of the hill--really nice. Pool bar, wet or dry, nice restaurant. Jumping off point for quite a number of activities in the area. Fast laundry service for those who have nothing to wear after several days in the rainforest. Our rooms were super clean and bug-free and there was ample hot water. No extra charge for the friendly cats on the porch.
