My wife and I are bewildered how this place could be rated #1 restaraunt in La Fortuna. We ordered two chicken burgers and a plate of nachos. Neither of which were that good and were small in size. The place wasn't cheap either and we didn't get what we paid for as far as value goes. Many better options out there. Avoid.

You MUST eat here. Period. Unbelievable burger. Incredible nachos, and no word of a lie: Perfect fries. The last fry I ate was as crispy and delicious as the first.

John, the owner has a grin the whole time. As I sat down to wait for my food in the quaint parking lot, John rolled up in his truck with two giant bags of burger buns.

If you're lucky you'll meet John and his wife's lady killer of a 6 year old. This kid can steal your girlfriend. He also likes to push his dirty hair into your face and body. Be careful, way too cute.

I don't care what other places you want to eat at, make sure you eat here.

The place is just as described by other reviewers: small, pick-nick tables, hard to find, etc. But the food is not even close to be a #1. I'm not sure if our selection was not the most appropriate, we had nachos, that didn't taste well and were a little bit cold, and a chilli hamburger that was so so. The drinks were fine and the service very friendly, but definitely there are better restaurants in the area.

Simply the BEST in the area. Not much good eating in town. But we found the NY Grill and we were so happy to find this place. Great food, great people, great service! Such nice folks that took so good care of us we felt like family. Visited them 2 times in our 3 days in town since we found tasty treats at fair prices. A must stop while in town. Enjoy!
