“Great, authentic Costa Rican fare!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

My wife and I wanted good, authentic Costa Rican food. And this was the place to be. It was not too pricey. Outdoor seating. And they are able to accommodate large groups.

If you do not want authentic Costa Rican food, then I suggest going to the other restaurants that cater to a variety of tourist's palate (sushi, American, Italian).

“Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Nice place to eat, but I really don´t understand why they sell havanos in the restaurant shop.

Everything was fresh, good service, but you have to wait a while to get the check.

“Worth Going”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Pretty good food - we were glad we stopped. This is a casual restaruant where you sit outdoors at picnic tables (under cover). The restaurant is right on the main road through town, but with the parking in front, we did not notice the traffic.
We all ordered the "typico" combination - but each of us opted for a different meat: pork, chicken, fish and beef. All were good.
We noticed that they were also roasting chicken on an outdoor rotisserie, it smelled wonderful!
Service was good and the facilities were clean.

“Too touristic for my liking, still with good food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012 via mobile

It's is a restaurant with a wide menu, huge portions and great service. I would not say that they are doing haute cuisine there, but it is guaranteed rich food with no great surprises. For sure if you are looking for a hearty good quality food, this is a good choice. A bit expensive too, as any other restaurant in La Fortuna

“Excellent "typico" food, 5 star service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

We had dinner here on our second night in Costa Rica and we were looking for a "typical" meal and this place hit the spot. The atmosphere is nice though casual and you sit family style on picnic tables. The combo plates were excellent, steak though thin cut was very tasty and the rotisserie chicken great.

The service made me feel like I was eating at a five star restaurant and the staff was very friendly. Go there if you want excellent typical Costa Rican food in the La Fortuna area.
