“Amazing Resort and Rain forest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

My trip to the rain forest and resort left me speechless and revived! I can't wait to return for another visit. The people and hospitality is outstanding. Amazing experience that I plan to repeat real soon. Mother nature at her finest.

We just visited Springs Resort and Spa on our first trip to Costa Rica and it was amazing! The room, hot springs and spa were all exceptional. The grounds are well maintained and everyone at this resort treats you like gold.

Club Rio is a must! The hot springs in the hills down there are really great. Also don't miss the animal sanctuary, stunning creatures!

I will say I wish there were better food options. I would love to have experienced more tico food on site. I honestly wasn't overly impressed with anything food wise and it was very costly. But again, everything else was so spectacular you won't be disappointed.

Can't wait to go back !!!!

The hotel is everything you could ask for in a rainforest and more. The people are amazing and the facility offers everything you need without leaving. The green season is wet, but quiet and extremely romantic. Two of the tours we took we were the only couple there so it was private and we practiced our Spanish. From Caroline at the front desk to Pablo at the nature park....people make the difference. Btw we saw a sloth so close we couldn't believe it
Have to leave the hammock is calling my name.

My family and I stayed here for three nights from May 23-26. I have two daughter, 7 and 11. We had a great time. The resort is absolutely fabulous. Everything is perfectly designed and exquisitely maintained. Everyone that we encountered on the staff were professional, polite and friendly. Our room was luxurious and comfortable. We are already planning our next visit.

One notable experience occurred on our last day there. We had been planning on doing the river tubing at the Club Rio portion of the property. We got busy with other things and didn't make it down there until 4pm. We then learned that the last tubing trip occurred at 330. The guides were already packed to go home. However, when the guides (Rolando and Gerald) heard we wanted to go they immediately volunteered to take us after hours. They took us on two private runs. It was so much fun. (Just an FYI-this is not a slow leisurely tubing trip. It is a fast and exhilarating trip through white water.). After the final run they let us relax in a secluded natural hot spring while they returned the equipment. While we sat in the hot spring, we started hearing strange noises. We soon realized that a small troop of howler monkeys was swinging high in the trees above. It was awesome. On another occasion, I turned a corner in a path just in time to see a Jesus Christ lizard literally run across the surface of a hot spring.

We were there during rainy season so it rained ALOT. However, the rain didn't really affect our enjoyment of the trip. When relaxing in the hot springs, the rain isn't even noticeable. Normally, this much rain could have ruined a vacation. In this case didn't cause even a hiccup. We also got lucky and the clouds broke long enough for us to see the volcano from the balcony of our room.

We ate at each of the restaurants. The food was good but not great. Some highlights were the croissants at the breakfast bar and the room service pizza. There is some room for improvement on the food. This was a minor issue for us.

Visited the Springs Resort and Spa on a girls' getaway. We LOVED it! The staff was very attentive and friendly, the grounds were beautiful and we truly felt away from it all. We knew there was a risk coming in November of rainy days but our entire trip was just day after day of beautiful blue skies...although thunderstorms did come in the evenings. We loved waking up in the morning with the sounds of the jungle outside and the view of Arenal from every window. We did some ziplining off property and went to La Fortuna for shopping and lunch one day but there are so many things to do on property that you didnt need to leave. The mineral pools were warm and relaxing and the river activities area was a BLAST! We were all giggles and screams on the innertubes. I would highly recommend this place for couples, families with older kids or friends looking for some fun adventure.

Went to Costa Rica without much expectation! Kind of thought it would be very commercial. We arrived at the springs and stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom villa. The private patio and infinity pool were incredible. From the thermal hot springs to the small water rafting trip to the exceptional dining and great low key feeling of this hotel I felt like I was one step from heaven!! The staff were so accommodating and made us (my husband and Me)feel like we were on a second honeymoon(which is kind of hard considering we are married for 30 years!) This hotel is not to missed! Also its the best view of the volcano! ENJOY
