The resort was beautiful, service was superb. We especially loved the vista room with view of volcano, the springs at the river, and the accommodating and attentive staff. The hotel is a bit off the road and not walking distance to La Fortuna. Don't miss the wildlife refuge at the hotel.

My wife and I just returned from Costa Rica where we fell in love with the country and The Springs Resort and Spa. We only spent 4 days at the resort but we wished it could have been much longer. Our room was by far the best room we have ever stayed in and we have been to a lot of destimations and stayed at alot of places through the years. Spacious, immaculant, clean and the attentionn to detail from the lighting, woodwork and flatscreen TV was great! I can't say enoiugh about the view out our large window. It was outstanding. We each had our own hammocks to relax on and the view of the volcano was magnificent. We were treated very special by the bellman, at check-in and by the entire staff including the owner, Lee Banks. The food was also outstanding. We enjoyed the river and looking at the awesome vegitation on site, all 28 pools that were fed by hot springs, the wild birds, monkeys and cats on-site. We also enjoyed horseback riding on the grounds. I must also mention the day triips we took off-site that were recommended by the staff at The Springs Resort. I highly recommend the river rafting through Wave Expeditions as the best day trip for the money we have ever been on, including a great day of rafting and a native home-cooked meal in the afteroon with drinks and dessert. We booked the trip through the conceire on- site at The Springs Resort and we couldn't have been happier. Wow what a trip!

This place was like a trip to paradice, from the grand enterance to the warm reception you receive on check in. The staff was very helpful and spoke excellent English. The entrance was very welcoming very warm and cosy like you livingroom. From there we were taking by gulf carts down to your room even room for your luggage. The rooms were breathtaking very bright and roomy with a view of the Arenal volcano and lush countryside. After settling in we explored and were amazed with all the pools and hot springs. We even had a swim up bar by the way which served the best taco's eiher chicken or beef and enough to share. This place had it all, a wonderful spa, and gym to work off the calories. All the restaurants served excellent food and reasonable priced. Then after swimming and sunning, you can go to Club Rio for horseback riding, tubing on the rapids which was wonderful, kayaking,and zip lining for those brave souls which I wasn,t but did use the tubing and kayaking a lot instead. The hot springs were really relaxing and then they had a evening adventure walk that took you to see the wild animals and the night life. I was surprised again with the weather here, not too hot, no humidity and always a cool breeze. Also we weren,t eaten alive by the bugs here. Every place you went, you were treated like a part of their family. This was one of the most relaxing place just to kick back and do all the things they offered, and just enjoy yourself. I can't say enough about this place just that I can hardly wait to come back as soon as I can. It was one of the best places I have ever been to.

My mother and I stayed at this resort and it was truly spectacular! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and they take your luggage for you to your room and drive you around the resort in golf carts. They were so accomodating bringing our rental car up to us whenever we needed it or with anything else. We were given a fabulous tour of the resort by David and the welcome drink was a lovely touch! The resort is the perfect combination of beauty and luxury. The granite and stone floors and light fixtures in the main lobby are gorgeous and my favourite was the stained glass everywhere. I could not stop looking at the stained glass! The resort is the perfect size, so it never feels crowded and the grounds and hot springs are simply stunning. It doesn't matter where you are at the resort, you always have a magnificent view of the Arenal Volcano. How amazing is it when you are swimming in the gorgeous pools enjoying a cocktail and taking in the spectacular view of the volcano and flowers in the lush, tropical surroundings? Nothing beats this....it is true paradise and not to be missed. This is the best resort in Costa Rica by far, along with it's sister property, The Peace Lodge. These are 2 resorts that must be on your bucket list. The rooms are tropically decorated with wood and bamboo and every possible amenity you could desire. The balconies offer relaxation with double hanging hammocks while providing jaw-dropping views of the volcano and beautiful, colourful, tropical flowers and lush vegetation. This place is a photographer's dream with all of the 28 mineral hot springs and their exotic surroundings. We never wanted to leave this place....we had found our heaven on earth. The food is also amazing and you must try the nachos at the swim up bar....they are to die for! We ordered them every day! Ginger Sushi was also incredible and so fresh. The fine dining restaurant is amazing and offers extraordinary views! This place offers it all and is perfect for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. The Club Rio Activity Center keeps everyone busy with horse-back riding, river tubing or kayaking, nature twilight walks, animal encounters and feedings, rock-wall climbing and a fantastic casual restaurant and more mineral hot springs! There is so much to do here if you like or relax by the pools and do nothing! It is a perfect vacation and provides the perfect location, only 15 minutes away from the neighbouring town of La Fortuna. Do not miss this place....it is the best and well worth every penny.
