“Loved, loved, loved!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2010

We stayed in Costa Rica for 7 nights in March. We stayed at the Hilton in the Gulf of Papagayo for 3 nights, was going to be 4, but we got out of the reservation one night early to make the 3 hour (beautiful) drive to La Fortuna. It was my birthday and my boyfriend called around to see what nice hotels had a last minute booking. Royal Corin did and a quick glance at tripadvisor, we booked it. SO glad we did! We drove up and didn't know what to expect. It doesn't look like anything special from the street. That all changed and from there on everything was beyond our expectations. The staff was wonderful, the pools were relazing, and the room was amazing! I'm not sure what the king suites usually go for, but we got a great deal and it was a perfect birthday treat! We didn't have much time, but we made use of what we had and had a great stay at this hotel. We did go to the La Fortuna waterfall which is a must do if you can make the journey down and back up all those stairs.

The Royal Corin is an exceptional hotel in an exceptional location with an exceptional staff. It is set in a prestine location across a volcanic mountain. The hot springs are 100% pure relaxation, remove every ounce of stress from one's body. The rooms are beatifull, comfortable and having a terrace with a view directly to the volcanic mountain.
The spa is WORLD CLASS, just perfect. In short, we had a relaxed, enjoyable stay.

Throughout my trip to Costa Rica with my husband, we stayed in 3 different locations and this hotel was the best hotel we ever stayed at. The hotel itself was pretty modern and clean with nice hot spring pools and all the rooms had beautiful view of the volcano. The room is really spacious with nice marble flooring oh and the shower was amazing. it had the most modern and tech savvy shower system I have ever saw in a hotel. It had 3 different types of shower system you can choose from. the rain forest style of water coming from above, laser type of shower water coming from each side of the wall, or movable shower head which you and wash every single corner of your body. It might not sound like much but if you do a lot of out door activities around the area and get wet and dirty coming back to this hotel room and taking a shower was just a bliss.

Everybody in the hotel was very attentive and nice. The service was superb and we also liked the free internet service next to the main lobby area which you can check your activity schedules and such. They had free breakfast every morning which was perfect and att night you can hear all kinds of bird and bugs which makes you feel like you are in the middle of the rain forest.

The only down side of this hotel is that they only seem to have 1 restaurant in the hotel and it is EXPENSIVE. Each main dish was about $30-40 and the food was not the greatest. A lot of times we ended up ordering room service because it was so much cheaper that way. Other than that I loved staying in this hotel. It is also in a great location where whatever activities you do the shuttle bus can pick you up at the hotel lobby. All and all this is a awesome hotel and great place to stay if you are staying in the Arenal volcano area. I will definitely visit this hotel again!

There is plenty to see and do in this area. Beautiful & lush filled with abundant plant and animal life. It was lovely to have the hot springs at the hotel. Our room was beautiful with a wonderful view of the volcano & hot springs. The staff was amazing!

My girlfriend and I both highly recommend this hotel. The staff was all exceptionally friendly and the accommodations were great....good view of the volcano, spacious rooms, amazing bathroom and shower, spoke good English. You get way more than you pay for. Check it out!

This was such a beautiful hotel. Service and staff were extremely helpful and nice. The grounds were just breathtaking. Loved the boutique feel of the hotel. Great value for price after we booked on expedia. I would highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

The Royal Corin is a super clean, modern, and attractive resort. The furnishings were up to date, beds exceptionally comfortable, and the view of Volcan Arenal from our balcony was AWESOME. Bathroom is a treat with the spa shower, and very modern furnishings. The pool area is very attractive, clean, and the variety of thermal pools was a pleasant surprise. Restaurant and Lava bar were top notch. Got massages at the Loto Spa and the massage therapist was great. Somewhat pricier than other accommodations in the area but worth it.
