This is a great family-run hotel in La Fortuna. The rooms are clean and breakfast was homemade. The staff is very helpful with arranging tours and whatever you need around town, but helped me the most when I lost my wallet. Special thanks to Felippe that went out of his way to drive me to then next city so I could get a wire transfer since there are no money transfer services in La Fortuna. He saved the rest of my trip! I would definitely stay here again. Great place and a charming family that run this place.

As seasoned travellers, we arrived in Fortuna with no reservations. We have learned that "seeing is believing" when it comes to hotels...too many times we have been sold by a great web presence only to find the real thing disappointingly different. When we arrived in Fortuna, we looked at about a dozen properties before choosing this one. We stayed at Arenal Rabfer before we looked at their web site and have to say this is a place that is exactly the way it appears on the web...even better! Well designed spaces, lovely gardens, quiet location, yummy breakfasts, clean, comfy beds, and private balconies with each unit. We could see the volcano from our balcony. The hotel is located 2 short blocks from the main park in Fortuna, and the entire town is within walking distance. This family owned and operated place felt like a home away from home, and we were impressed that most of the family is bi-lingual. Best hotel in town by far!

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and found it to be very clean and well run. It is a family run hotel and the sons speak very clear English. As we arrived and registered, one son offered to take us up to our room. He made sure we understood the air conditioner and answered any questions. In the mornings, we enjoyed the breakfasts that were fresh cooked in the open air breakfast rooms. This hotel is only 2 blocks from the town square so is an easy walk to dinner. The price was great, and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends!!

We stayed at Rabfer for two nights while doing the tourist thing in La Fortuna.
This family operated hotel, was the perfect place to come back to after a long day. Their breakfast was very good, home cooking.
The couple and their sons were kind, friendly and helpful.
It was close to all the stores and restaruants. The price was resonable.
