Wow! First of all try not to visit Costa Rica during Easter holiday, its crazy busy and finding a hotel is extremely difficult!
This place was one of few that actually had a couple of rooms available during our visit. For the price this place is not too shabby. These are family owned cabins that a fairly well maintained. The rooms are clean but do get the occasional bugs (ants & spiders). The woman that runs the place is fairly nice but seemed to be getting frustrated with us because we were asking for some assistance finding a hotel + transportation for the next day. This place does not have Wi-Fi in the room but it is available in the lobby. The rooms DO NOT have telephones.
We paid $65 a night + $5 each for breakfast. The breakfast is homemade gallo pinto with some eggs, fruit, and coffee or juice that tasted like TANG.
Overall this place has a great view of the volcano, the rooms are decent, and it is close to both hot springs Baldi & Tabacon. Ask the lady upfront about booking activities for you. She will help and can also give you a special price if you buy from her. We did the WAVE expedition (Rafting) it was very enjoyable and worth the $ 70 a person we paid. She also gave us a good deal on the Baldi hot springs.
I would stay here again if I was in Costa RIca. Maybe a one night stop for the hot springs and La Fortuna tour. Hope this helps!
