First of all we were greeted at the gate by Charles & Jeanetta, who treated us like family. We were shown to our room, which was the upper of the two story guest quarters at the back of the property, the front being the main house where they are currently living. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We had arrived a bit late from Atenas, so we settled in for a bit, and then Jeanetta called us and asked if we'd like something to eat, which was prepared by thier cook from all fresh items. After lunch we sat on the back porch area and just talked untill almost 7 p.m., then we went down and enjoyed the jaccuzi in the beautiful gardens before going to bed. We got a great nights sleep, as the area was very quiet. The next day we had breakfast with then and they took us on a short tour of some housing that was available for rental in the Grecia area so that we could get a feel of the town and the surroundings. The stay was just like being with close friends or family, they provided a personal touch that made the experiance so much more enjoyable than we have had at other places. I stayed for a week at the end of August; arrived in the afternoon to find lunch waiting for me! Cristina serves a wonderful breakfasts, both American and Tico, loads of fresh fruit! Extremely clean (saw Xinia cleaning the balcony railings one morning!) Hi speed internet + wireless access. The place is beautiful; Carlos keeps it parklike with love and care. Great bird and squirrel (they're not American squirrels!) sightings right from my balcony. Very safe and secure - left my laptop in my room daily. Jeanetta is a great hostess. I can't say enough good about the place. Stay there! You won't be sorry!

We never thought we were going to have such of a wonderful time at La Terraza B & B. We went for 3 days and stayed the shole week. What a relaxing place, just leasening to the river at night was out of this world. Jeametta is increadible, a beautiful human being, and her staff is fantastic, always ready to please you. We miss those breakfasts so much, Kristina is the best cooker, rated #1. We didn't miss home at all. We arrived in the afternoon hungry and to our surprise, Jennetta had Cristina prepare lunch for us. The dinning area as well as the entire property was spotless. Zinia keeps everything neat and clean. Jennetta has done a very professional job of training the staff. We have never been treated better. Carlos has done a great job of landscaping and maintaining the grounds. Very restful and so pleasant to wake up to the sites and sounds. I almost forgot, screens on the windows! Not a common site in central America and important for those that don't like sharring thier room with flying little critters!. We highly recommended you stay here at La Terraza.
