had to buy a taxi ticket for 5 bucks because the owner did not get
back to me, after several emails, as to where I would be picked up.
after going outside the airport finally saw a man holding a sign with my name on it. Drove us down the ugliest part of town I have ever
seen. It was quite late at night and he drove up to a large totally metal gate with lots of bags of garbage piled up beside it. After entering the gate and closing, we saw a few bungalows with iron
around all windows. He stopped at ours and showed us to it, unlocked the door and left. There was no one anywhere. We
looked in the bathroom and it was a nightmare, toilet stained, no towel, soap, water, nothing. The bed looked as if it had been slept
in. Being late from the plane, brought no water with us. I did not
sleep at all that night for worry we would miss our shuttle to the east coast. We could not brush our teeth or have a drink of water.
The 6 hours later when dawn broke I walked outside to find someone to arrange taxi, only person there spoke spanish .
we did finally make our taxi with hopes that our vacation was
not spoiled with that horrible night.
