Just completing a three-year remodel and it is beautiful inside and out. Located centrally in city of Alajuela by central park ans museum.
It is set in a nice park right in the middle of Alajuela and you will see what life is like in a typical CR city center.
For a good meal while you are there, walk to the street behind the church, go left and walk 1 1/2 blocks to Jalapeno Central. It is the #1 restaurant in Alajuela province.
Beautiful paintings on the walls and ceiling. The musician was great!
Right beside a downtown park. They were having mass on Friday evening, so we only got to peek in the doors, but it was beautiful from what we saw. We did not tour due to the mass.
Certainly worth seeing.
