We had the villa for two nights, which was perfect for our group of 5 adults--twin bunks and a full sized bed in one room w/tv & wardrobe, and a king-sized bed, kitchenette, and another tv in the main room. The grounds are beautiful to stroll. I've read some of the negative reviews and feel that I have to mention that because Costa Rica is tropical, you're more than likely to find damp sheets and insects ubiquitous. We stayed in several 4-star hotels throughout the country and found that to be the case, not just at Martino.
The staff is very accomodating. They picked us up at the airport. The spa staff was happy to give us a tour of their facilities which includes a fully-equipped gym. And while the lady at the front desk was busy, she was very helpful, finding us another car rental company, when ours reneged on our reservation. Breakfast was also a very nice spread.
Only caveat is, we were there at the tail end of the wet season when they seemed somewhat understaffed. There was the occasional delay for some of our requests, but they were always met to our satisfaction.
