We stopped for two nights at this hotel during our honeymoon, both times we were catching flights the next morning.
The hotel is very pretty, set in the mountains, with a terrific view. We stayed in the "SunDeck Suite" and the Villa.
The rooms were clean, and the hotel was very nice. But the room was not as promised, and had absolutely no view of the Sunset ... in fact, the sunset on the otherside of the hotel. This was the only reason we picked this room...quite disappointing.
We were very, very disappointed with the hospitality of the front desk - they were not helpful, and it seemed like we were disturbing them every time we had a questions or needed something. One at least 3 occasions, they were huddled in the back room and came out looking quite annoyed that we needed their help.
We did laundry there - 3 items - 2 pairs of pants and shirt - the cost was $13 US.... you can make your own call on that. I will say that it was my mistake, as I had thought I read the prices for a load of laundry...I didn't think it would cost the total price of one of the pairs of shorts to wash three pieces of clothing
Breakfast - couples slices of toast, fruit on a plate and some coffee. I expected a little more considering the cost. at least a continental buffet...not a tiny plate
The Villa is gorgeous, the coffee and banana plants pretty cool, the pool looked very nice as well.
Room Tip: The Villa is worth the money, very spacious, clean and gorgeous views.

I am happy that these guests enjoyed some aspects of their experience with us and unhappy they were not 100% satisfied. The comments about poor service are of particular concern because we normally receive complimentary comments regarding our helpful, friendly staff. We had a staff meeting about these guests experience in hopes of always improving our customer service.Our breakfast was described as "not worth the price", a couple slices of toast, fruit and coffee. First, there is no charge for breakfast, it is complimentary. This breakfast is included in the room price as well as airport transportation to and from the airport. A more complete description of our breakfast is fresh watermelon, pineapple, bananas and papaya, unlimited toast, muffins, strawberry jam, cheese, orange juice and coffee. These guests questioned the lack of a sunset view. They stayed in a villa facing east and the sunset room facing west. During the rainy season it is so overcast as to not be able to tell where the sun is especially in the afternoons and evenings. Finally, it was alluded to that our laundry service is over priced. $13 is correct for 2 pants and a shirt (if the shirt was also ironed). The cost of laundry service varies a great deal depending on which country and the quality of the particular hotel. Our laundry service takes great care to provide a quality product and I feel the rates are quite reasonable. A laundry price list is in every room. We wash and fold a mans dress shirt or a womans skirt for $3 and we hand iron it for $2 more. Small items such as socks, caps, handkerchiefs are $2. This review is our first 3 star rating in 9 months and we won the "Trip Adviser 2012" award. This is not to say we can't improve. We strive to improve and make all aspects of this hotel better and hope these guests will try us again.
