This may be a very good place to stay for people who are only looking for a convenient place near the airport to spend the night. However, for anyone who wants to see downtown San Jose and/or who does not have their own transportation, it may not be a good choice. This B&B is located in a small nondescript residential neighborhood where we would not have felt comfortable walking at night. There did not appear to be any restaurants, shops, or anything of interest close by. Getting into San Jose would have been expensive, difficult and/or time-consuming since this B&B is located about 20 miles away from the center. We had been booked at this B&B by a travel agency, but when we saw where it was located, we decided to stay at another hotel in the center of the city even though we had to pay for both hotels. We were happy with this decision because we had a whole afternoon to explore the downtown, and there was a good restaurant in the hotel where we stayed.

Dear Visitors,
We always appreciate all comments, we have a friendly B&B, we are not in the lodging bussines, we are in the Hospitality bussines.
If anyone is looking for the RITZ, this is not the right place for sure, if you are looking for hopitality then you will have a big smile in your face.
For your information we are located only 3 minutes away from the airport, at Monserrat neighborghood , walkable distance to Alajuela downtown, 250 meters away from the Mall International Shopping Center with 4 diffents Banks, Stores, Cinema and more than 15 restaurants indoors and one restaurant outdoor, the friendly Papavero restaurant is just around the corner (with brick oven typical food).
We also provide free transportation to the facilities around the area such as, Airport, restaurants, Central Park in Alajuela downtown, bus stations, Fiesta Casino, rentacars .........ect....
By the way, because of this we can tell you this safe area, in fact the biggest shopping center in Costa Rica is going to be built next door, the City Mall.
We do not blame anyone for not knowing this, specially if they comment and have not stayed with us.
About a week ago we had a customer who made a reservation trough a travel agency, they drove here, did not get off the car and when the recepcionist approached to the car she smiled and asked what would they need but without a word they closed the window and moved the car a few meters ahead, she approached again to the car and they did the same and went away on her face. ......................... A SMILE IS ALWAYS IS BETTER THAN A 1000 WORDS, WELL-MANNERED always works better than a complaint.
If someone does not stay with us we understand, there are all kinds of hotel categories, all we have is a B&B category, with friendly people.
Travel agencies, B&B and hotels have cancellation policies, mainly when they are booked and have to refuse their repeat customers because they have to honor previous reservations.
We hope to have the chance to serve you and show you the beauty and the best of Costa Rica.......the Costarrican hospitality.
