This location is currently under renovations. The staff is working very hard to keep the quality level up during this time. There were few inconveniences. The lobby and my room was very nice. The bathroom was ok but it seemed a little moldy. The bedding and decor was above average, definitely an improvement. The breakfast area was nice with plenty of choices and convenient layout. The staff was appropriate but not overly nice. Good location for business on campus.

Mr. MS47 and I had low expectations for this hotel, as it was merely a stop to our final destination of Atlanta. To say we were pleased is an understatement. It was Friday of a home football game weekend, and the atmosphere was jovial and welcoming when we arrived late to check-in. Check-in staff was friendly and efficient, and they had cookies, popcorn and soft drinks available for all guests.

Our updated room on the first floor was attractive and clean. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the morning, as well.

I get that they probably pull out all the stops for the UA alumni coming for home football games, but we were fine with receiving the great treatment. I have a feeling they are probably just as friendly and efficient when it is an average Tuesday night. We will stay at this property again.

Ee statues here for 2 nights for Bama Bound orientation. Our room was evidently not one of the newly renovated rooms but is was very nice regardless. Clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was adequate. Hot oatmeal already made and very good coffee. The cookies at night are a big temptation. I love the macadamia nut cookies.
However, the best part of the stay is the wonderful, helpful front desk. We love the staff. Being college students they were extremely helpful to us. Always so pleasant and professional. The hotel is not walkable to campus but is only a short drive.

It was a pleasure staying here overnight on 04/29/2012. The front desk service was exceptional! The room was comfortable and clean. The cookies were great! Breakfast on 04/30/2012 was nice, except for the drama--the person that was servicing the breakfast area was in the kitchen area, out of sight from the dining area, but the door was open, and those of us eating breakfast were treated to her cell phone conversation about her weekend, along with all the "colorful" language she was using. I got up and went to the doorway and asked her if ti would be OK to close the door so that all of us eating would not be distracted by her "private" cell phone conversation. She barely stopped talking long enough to nod her head and say, "Sure, go ahead", and then continued with her conversation. Those who were still eating could only shake their heads. I would stay here again, but maybe skip "breakfast and a show" next time.
