“Felt like home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

Attended the first home game of the 2014 Crimson Tide football season. Despite the fact that then football team and the coaches call this hotel home on football weekends, the attention we received was as though we were the only guests. Our room was immaculate and SO quiet! After a full day of cheering and celebrating we returned and ordered room service. We enjoyed a delicious pizza from the hotel restaurant, delivered fresh and hot in a timely fashion. The location of this hotel for any U of A function, (especially home football games) could not be more convenient, and truly added to the overall enjoyment of our tailgate weekend. I've been a guest in this hotel for many years, and Ralph, Lester, Michelle and numerous others continue to make each stay the BEST stay !!!!
Thanks again to the Hotel Capstone, and ROLL TIDE!

Took my son to our first Alabama football game and had a great time. While I didn't know it when I made the reservations, this is the Team Hotel so the entire Alabama team and coaching staff were staying there the first night we were in town. Hotel is easy walking distance to the stadium and the strip where shops and places to eat are located.
The staff is VERY friendly and everyone made us feel welcome. The lobby and reception areas are very modern and the hotel has a nice feel.
That said, rooms are nothing special. In fact they are a little spartan. Also food options are pretty limited if you eat at the hotel.
Overall this is a great place to stay as relates to attending a game but otherwise it seems overpriced for the condition and level of overall services.

We have just returned from a U of A football weekend at the Hotel Capstone! It was a fabulous experience! (and not just because Alabama won the game!) The Hotel is within walking distance to the Stadium and the Quad! The front desk staff (Ralph and Chad) were so friendly and welcoming! The Bellmen, Lester and George were very helpful and friendly. They seemed to know everyone's names! We had a delicious pizza for dinner and great service from the bar
(Thanks, Michelle!) The room was comfortable, nice clean and quiet. Nice new bathrooms!
Some football weekends it is very hard to get reservations, but if you do stay at the Hotel Capstone, you will totally enjoy it!

The Hotel Capstone is centrally located on the campus of the University of Alabama and is the most convenient place to stay, if you are visiting the university. It is a full service hotel with an on-site restaurant and bar, free parking, exercise room, business center and swimming pool.

The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly and attentive. It may cost a little more than a chain motel along interstate, but it offers more and is worth the price difference. If you are coming to the University of Alabama for a visit, this is the place to stay.

This a unique place to stay in Tuscaloosa.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are larger. Some of the suites are gigantic, if you have a family staying.

I had a good stay at the Hotel Capstone. The staff was friendly and generally helpful. My room was adequate. The air conditioning system, bathroom, and other room amenities were a bit dated. The hotel room service menu does not have many meal options that do not include chicken or beef. The hotel is on the University of Alabama campus and is a convenient location if you are visiting the campus.

I had the wonderful experience of staying at Hotel Capstone while in Tuscaloosa for an Alabama football game. ROLL TIDE! The accommodations were impeccable and the service was on the same level. I was especially cared for by the front desk staff of Ralph, Miko, Chad and Nic Applegate. The bellman, Lester, was so very helpful in answering questions and helping me with my bags on my departure. The Bistro Bar and restaurant were delightful.

I would highly recommend staying and eating at this establishment.

Room Tip: Recommend a deluxe queen (includes microwave and refrigerator).

Stayed here for four nights in August while getting my son settled off campus. Such a warm and friendly environment to stay in. Ralph was so helpful in obtaining my reservation. He is extremely professional yet personable and friendly. Chad does a great job at the desk, always willing to help everyone and is genuinely concerned on how everyone is enjoying their stay. The rooms were great, beds comfortable, plenty of closet and drawer space, new bathrooms, and love the phone outlets on the bed lamps. I always enjoy Legends. The food is great, especial the Luncheon Buffet. Jake and Ashley B. are simply the best. So glad both of them got promotions - well deserved! Looking forward to my next stay over Halloween.

Room Tip: All rooms are good
