“Recommended by Hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

We got very lucky! Our Fairfield Inn night manager recommended this to us over a local burger hangout. It was a Sunday night and they closed at around 8 or 9. So,luckily we got there early and still had to wait about 30 min. But it was so well worth it! Fried green tomatoes were superb, not to mention our entrees!

“Great lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

Went with friends for lunch. Great setting with a view of the river. All of the food we had was very good. Great service. Reasonable prices for the quality of the food and service. One friend said it was her favorite place to eat in Tuscaloosa.

“Fresh ingredients: vegetables chicken and seafood.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013 via mobile

Great place. Love the view of the river. Fried green Tomatoes, grilled chicken with white barbecue sauce, mustard greens, blackened tilapia, fried oysters, and chocolate molten cake, to name a few items from the menu. The "Sister Schubert" rolls and bran muffins are complementary!

“Good food, reasonably priced in a pretty setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

The Cypress Inn is a nice place, built for crowds. It is right on the river and has a lot of glass. Huge aquarium in the lobby is fun to look at.

We had a large party and all meals but one were very good. Everything from shrimp to pasta to fried green tomatoes was wonderful. Loved the cheese grits, hush puppies, delicious coleslaw. One in our party had a specialty of the house, smoked chicken, and it was almost raw. That was a bizarre thing for a smoked meat and it was not her favorite restaurant! The rest of the meals were good. The service was efficient and the prices were not too steep. They take reservations and had a large lot with free parking.

“Nice cozy and by the river”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013 via mobile

I attended a two day meeting there and was happy to be in a nice room with large windows of the river. The food was good ( i had the chicken salad and hickory smoked chicken sliders). The staff was friendly and promptly served snacks, lunch and drinks. It was beautiful view and hope to attend another meeting there again.
