“A Quiet, Enjoyable Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2012

We have stayed at this property twice in the last year. Both times we were pleased with our stay. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, management was VERY responsive and helpful concerning a couple of minor issues that arose during our several day stay. Beds were very comfortable, the carpets had just been cleaned prior to our stay. We loved that it was very QUIET, and very convenient to several restaurants. The pool looked very clean and inviting, though we did not have the time to use it during our stay. Would be pleased to stay there again if needed.

Limited hotel choice in Sylacauga. I had stayed at Jameson a couple of years ago and wanted to avoide this time around but a basketball tournament left Jameson as only availability for two nights. Property looks fine from outside but is basically a motel. Rooms are small and washrooms tiny. Carpet in my room was filthy. Bed (doubles not queens) was comfortable enough. Breakfast area cramped with just three small tables. Breakfast fare was spartan. Higher price in comparison to five Choice Hotels I stayed at in five states during this trip and no comparison with Choice facilities and services. Best bet if you have to visit Sylacauga..... skip Jameson and stay at one of several hotels about 30 minutes away towards Birmingham!

Thank you for staying with us at the Jameson Inn in Sylacauga. I am very sorry to hear you were not pleased with your room. I have taken measures to correct the issues you pointed out including cleaning the carpets. We strive to be certain that the breakfast food is kept fully stocked at all times and I will reemphaxize this to my staff. Please consider staying with us again so that you can see that your previous experience was not typical but instead our guests enjoy clean comfortable accommodations at an affordable price.

We were on a road trip and stayed the night here after getting the room at a good discount on HotWire. If we had paid $75+, I would have been unhappy. At $55, it was a reasonable value. It was clean and the bed and pillows were fine. On the down side, the toilet ran (we turned off the water), the location had a fair bit of noise, and the breakfast appeared gross (we skipped it).

We got this hotel on Hotwire & were not sure what to expect. The attendant when we checked in was a surly teenaged (early 20's?) girl who obviously couldn't care less. The room was clean & decent but the toilet was running & made noise until we turned off the water. The next morning, staff was friendly & helpful. The "expanded" breakfast was cereal, bagels, bread, & biscuits with gravy that was awful. Will likely not stay there again.

The furniture and carpeting are rather worn and old. The rooms are clean and the people are friendly. It is really not what I am used to and the price is a biy high for what you get.

Room Tip: The back building is a little better than the front building.

Ok, This was great for the money. Beds were comfortable, only 1 set of towels for 2 people.
Beds crawling in the bathroom. The brown stains on walls next to the beds were pretty nasty.
The carpet was dirty, worn with torn in areas a couple places in the carpet buckled up made it easy to trip on.
We had no refrigerator only a small coffee pot. NO INTERNET, So NO Work was Completed on my stay with them. Although they claim to have Free Wi Fi, the lady I spoke with said it had been several days,Most likey years. But when I booked was told they had internet. Thank goodness it was just over night.
Walls were paper thin and the neighbors were very loud and I will leave it with that.
Will not stay at this Jameson again.,

Please accept my apologies for the unacceptable situation you encountered during your visit to our hotel. A lightning strike had caused an Internet outage in the area at the time and it was restored shortly after your departure. I have addressed the issues you described with our housekeeping department and I'm confident that you would be pleased if you returned to the area and stayed with us again. We would love to have you come back.

Went to Sylacauga for a funeral. The rooms were good. Not spectacular, but no major issues either. The shower seemed to drain slowly, but no back up and cover your feet or anything. Breakfast was good. Typical cereal, muffins, juice and milk. There was a station to make your own waffle. Bedding was nice. Very nice mattresses.
