“Beware the wolf in sheep's clothing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

If you see a sweepstakes stand telling you that you don't have to purchase to enter- watch out! Its a ploy to get you to buy a vacation for a sales-pitch to a Bass Pro Shop's time share 'offer'
I found out the hard way. My son saw the advertisement she was standing by that said you could win a chance at $25,000. I warily asked her what was involved in entering and if there was any purchase we needed to make before entering our name. She innocently said, "Oh no. There's no purchase necessary." I told her that I didn't want to be pushed into buying anything. I then mentioned to her that we'd been to several Bass Pro Shops before and had seen a stand like hers and how they tried to sell us something and I didn't want to be pushed into buying anything. So, she says, "No, there's no high pressure sales pitches. Its just a vacation getaway we offer for $100 you can purchase a trip to anywhere in the US you wanna go and here are your choices. She was so crafty and conniving I didn't realize that she was trying to con us into a purchase of something even as I was filling out the sweepstakes form she said we didn't have to purchase anything for. If you do purchase it and go you have to listen to a sales pitch for an hour or more offering you to buy a share in their properties. Real con so be careful. I've seen one of these 'offers' at every Bass Pro Shop. They pay this person to be on the lookout for families to scam on at their store. Not very professional in my opinion. Lots of smoke and mirrors to get you in then get you to spend on their resturant and get you to spend on other things. It'll be awhile before I visit a Bass Pro Shop Again.

“Stay away from the Arctic Cat 4 Wheeler”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

Our experience here was horrible trying to buy a 4 wheeler for our son.... Here is our story... They have an Arctic Cat 4 wheeler 2009 model sitting out side that our son fell in love with. We go into the store and are interested in buying it. We are told by the sales person that there is no one there to crank it for us... hummm We go ahead and fill out the financing paper work for it and are told to call back the next day. Everything approved with the financing but no one can get us anymore information on the 4 wheeler or can crank it for us. After calling back a few days later and asking for the Manager we are still given a run around story about when we can pick it up. After yet another few days we finally get someone on the phone and they tell us that the 4 wheeler is going to have to be sent to Destin to get fixed because it has issues... OMG at this time (a week and a half later) we tell them that we are no longer interested in a 4 wheeler that won't run. They inform us that we will lose our down payment if we don't get it and we inform them that we will not lose it because we were smarter than that and didn't put a down payment on a 4 wheeler that no one had the time to crank for us......DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!

“Really, what can you say, it's bass pro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2012

The greatest hunting and fishing store on the planet! We honestly saw it from the highway and ended our drive there because we knew it would take us a while to get through the store. A huge bill later and we were ready to take a nap! Thanks Bass Pro!

“Islamorada Fish Company & Market Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

Sure, friends and family always enjoy visiting the Bass Pro Shop in Spanish Fort. There are a number of children's activities, store events, workshops for all outdoor enthusiasts and equipment specials with vast savings. They even feature an indoor archery range.

We visit for all these reasons including the food, drinks and atmosphere at the Islamorada Fish Company & Market, located inside Bass Pro Outdoor World. Upon entering, one can't help but notice the awesome vaulted ceiling 30 feet above with beautiful box beam trusses and ornate fish themed, custom, hand-made chandeliers.

A large hand-painted mural is located above the massive 12,000 gallon saltwater aquarium which is raised 4’ above the store floor. The aquarium is home to scores of colorful, tropical fish. Trophy saltwater fish mounts hang from the walls, antiques and old pictures along with painted murals add to the relaxed dining mood. A 10’ wide fireplace adds warmth and provides an inviting ambiance.

The menu features shrimp, crab cakes, cod, salmon, mahi mahi, calamari, tuna and even fried catfish. Wild game plates include venison, buffalo and alligator. Traditional steaks, rotisserie chicken dishes and sandwiches make this much more than a seafood restaurant. We've sampled plenty from the menu and have always enjoyed our selections and the presentation.

The Staff are so friendly and courteous. The service is excellent.

Make this a destination when you're visiting Baldwin County. You'll have a great adventure!
