Da Marco is worth not one but many visits. The place is not superficial western cuisine set up ; like many other international restaurants which are now omnipresent in Shanghai now. I often felt in Shanghai you pay rat times for a restaurant or bars by their popularity not really the food. However Da Marco is a good choice. Food here is definably biggest USP. The restaurant is set on two levels, the seating can be made better but not too bad. The ambience is fine, not classic but fine. We managed to get a reservation for a group of 14 on a weekday. The menu is quite elaborate and you can choose from many options of Pasta, Pizza, Rissoto, Salads etc. The portion size is good (not ornamental). The sea food platter with dip was definably one of the best things you can pick here. They have wines/beverages and decent selection to match your food. Two other big plus points are the moderate pricing of food & wine and the well trained staff. The staff is good and courteous (our experience was good).I would recommend this restaurant to all, as I am big fan of Italian and this sure is a good place to bite into Italian cuisine. In fact this outlet has many awards to its credit.
