“Decent Hotel”

Have stayed here half dozen times over the past 3 years. The location is great with lots of good restaurants in the area and access to the Metro for easy access to the rest of Shanghai. I agree with reviews about the breakfast buffet, which has slipped in quality since I started staying here. I stayed for two weeks in September and repeated request for WiFi access went unfilled. There was WiFi this visit. The rooms are decent but TV channel selection is poor.

Stayed at this hotel for four nights back in August during the heatwave that was summer in shanghai.

The hotel rooms are starting to show their age, however this didn't really bother me as is well maintained, and the junior suite I was upgraded to was more than enough room for my needs. Pool was great.

Location wise is good with access to the subway and many food options and shops close by. It's quite amazing to see how much this area has changed in a short three years since I last visited shanghai.

One thing I have to comment on is the quality of the breakfast in the main restaurant. It just wasn't good. While I note my review is for a stay over four months ago, and the situation may have improved, it is something I definitely feel needed looking at.

Arrive at the hotel with travel agent who booked the place, had some challenges during the checkin but not sure from the agent or the hotel, the seems to talk and talk, anyway could not bothered was asked to have seat and enjoy the view while having a drink. The view just stunning, only stayed due to a short trip but the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, the hotel is bit dated on the down side but I spoke with Brian and he said that working on some new projects such as WIFI, restaurant and so on . WIFI was available all over the hotel nice even in the city I could use the stable connection of my phone, really impressive, as for the value good considering the exchange rate, but hey your in Shanghai things are pricy. Overall I had an amazing time at the Hotel, in Shanghai and China as I was travelling 3 weeks.

We were excited to stay at the Pullman because of it's convenient location and because we are Platinum Accor members. However, we were a bit disappointed by the overall experience. Like others mentioned, the hotel definitely lacks warmth. Upon check in, we asked for an upgrade and were told by the front desk agent that the hotel was at full occupancy. We accepted her response and went upstairs. But later we noticed there were hardly any customers in the executive lounge (they gave us complimentary access) or in the lobby so there was no way the hotel could be sold out. We then asked the front office manager for an upgrade and he happily upgraded us to a nice suite. It seems odd that they wouldn't have offered this upon check the first time. Overall the rooms are average - the hotel is definitely a bit on the older side. But the beds were really comfortable and the wifi was good quality. Also when we asked for champagne glasses, they were promptly provided which was nice.
