“Relax”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

It is really hard to find a peice of green land in shanghai. But here, you can smell the flowers, breathe the fresh air in. I recommend this place for people who like relaxing and having picnics beside the sunny sun under a tree.

“Not the park but the surrounding.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

It is hard to get a piece of green land within the heart of Shanghai, and Century Park would be the ideal place for a walk, a ride or a run day and night. The entire round of the Park is 4.5KMs and just nice for a bike ride around the ring of the Park. Great place to be every day.

“Largest green space in Shanghai”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

It costs 10 RMB to enter Century Park which means it's better maintained than many parks. You can also sit on the grass here which is often not allowed in China. Great place to go for a picnic or a paddle boat ride in the summer. It gets very crowded on nice days though so be warned. Century Park is acessible by subway and there's a lot of shopping and restaurant options outside the park.

“Nice park, marred by trash”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

I had a few hours on Sun to explore and chose the Century Park as it was less touristy. Thank was big and seemed to be well laid pit. But there was more trash than I was expecting. The bonsai garden was neat as was the chance to just stroll around and people watch. What is amazing is the contrast of the large park surrounded by the modern hi rise apartments. Welcome to modern day China.

“Pretty, but restrictive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

Nice park. There is an entry fee and it is very restricting what you can and cannot do. You cannot jog and you cannot bicycle (although you can rent a bicycle once inside). On warm sunny days it can be crowded with lots of people pitching tents all over the place. Do not let kids stray off the paths - there are few restrooms to speak of.....
