“Service Apartment at Supreme Tower Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

The rooms decoration are not really fantastic to be honest. A one bedroom apartment for 1 month stay is approximately RMB13,000/- including daily breakfast and twice weekly cleaning up. Free wifi in room is also available. If you are staying there for long, you may ask for discounts for laundry services (I have got a 50% discount).
Some how I find the corridor of the rooms smell a little musky (but that is maybe just me). Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly hence I rated it 4. Without that, the rooms will probably worth a 3.

Hotel is near a shopping mall 96 Mall, lots of restaurants with a mix of Japanese and Chinese food. One must try the Soup Expert (尚一汤) at the 2nd level (facing H&M), for yummy tasty home made chinese soup. Opposite this restaurant has a Hong Kong theme cafe that serves nice deserts. The 96Mall has some push carts stores selling bags and scarfs. Quite good buys but do remember to bargain.

Near the 96Mall, is the Century Ave Station that serves several lines such as line 2 that goes to the CBD of Pudong (2 stops away) but it is really packed during peak hours. Otherwise, cabs from hotel to Pudong CBD cost about RMB20/-. Nearest exit from this station to the hotel is exit 12. some evenings you may find roadside hawkers selling food, clothings etc just outside the exit.

What to do:
a) Take line 2 to the next stop at Shanghai Science and Technology Centre cost you about RMB3/- and about 4 mins ride. Once you reached there you will be pampered with crazy shopping of fake goods! Bargin Bargain and Bargain. Ruthless bargaining. Also there are several tailors based in this basement shopping area as well as a shoe tailor making services. A good way to spend the Saturday afternoons. The stores are open till 8pm every day.

b) After shopping at (a), take a cab down to Big Thumb Plaza (大母指)for some chinese cruise and occasionally you may spot roadside stores that sell DVDs.

c) For massage, head down towards to West Weifang Road, Pucheng Road. The row of shops facing Shimao BinJiang. There are 2 massage shops that opens till 1am! Bamboo 7 and Gan Gu Tang (感古堂), which is currently under renovation and will reopen in Dec 2012. Full 60min massage cost you RMB118 at the first store.

d) 2 stations down from Line 2, you can also go to Lujiazui where you find the IFC, Shangri La, Ritz Carlton, Oriental Pearl, the aquariums.

e) if you are heading down to Puxi by cab, go buy the Renmin tunnel (人民隧道)as it is less congested than the Yan'an tunnel. Over at Puxi where more cultural and interesting stuff come into place. Head down to Tianzifang (田子坊)an interesting heritage place to visit.

Given that this hotel is conveniently located, it is definitely recommended for business travellers!

I will recommend this appartment hotel for any body who need to need to enjoy his own food at least one time a day . Its located in in Pudong area about 50 minutes drom Pudong Airport . The rooms are very spacious ,kitchen with microwave , refregirator . The bed room is very cosy and neat and clean . The rooms are cleaned every day and its a pleasent stay with local store near by for easy groceries.

Room Tip: While booking the hotel , one need to give specific instruction for having microwave in the kitchen...

chose the hotel since i've read that it's near the century avenue station. it is near but not really near but the good thing about century avenue station is that it serves different lines. when walking at night, the area outside the hotel is a little dark. the reviews said that the rooms are big, and indeed they are. my only issue is the room temperature, i wanted it to be a bit cold but i was told that the AC is not functioning (i was there in March). the bathroom is also ok except for the problem with the bathroom sink, water doesnt go down the drain. my favorite feature of this hotel is its superb breakfast.

overall, i will recommend this hotel to friends and will probably book again if i need to be in shanghai again.

I can only recommend the Supreme Tower Hotel. Nice and helpfull and smilling staff, good breakfast, good rooms. Maybe a little small the one i got this time. If you need to be in different places in Shanghai, the Supreme Tower Hotel is 5 mins from Century Ave subway station which serves 3 different lines (2, 4 and 6 ). This gives you access to all areas either Pudong or Puxi.... I like this Hotel.

Have stayed here a few times now and have never been disapointed.
Reception area is large and efficient and all staff are very helpful, rooms themselves are large with comfy bed and free Internet Connection.
Location is very good round the corner from underground and but can easily walk to the skyscrapper and river area. Loads of good affordable restuarants right outside the hotel, but my favourite is the Japanese restuarant in the Hotel, for £20 you can eat and drink all you can.
One thing to be careful of when booking and that is to make sure you request a non smoking room (if you are a non smoker). Smoking is still very popular in China and you will be given a smoking room if you do not pre book a non smoking room in advance (in my experience)

Friendly and helpful staff
Excellent breakfast.
The hotel is in Pudong district a bit off from the city, but it is only 5 minutes from Century Avenue metro station (line 2), so that one can reach any place without difficulties.
Also internet is free, which is not normal in other hotels.
