“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

This hotel is without doubt one of the best I've stayed in. Luckily it is used for a yearly conference therefore I do not have to pay otherwise I might not give all 5 stars. The views are incredible and the staff are polite, friendly and from all over the world. This can be relief as my Mandarin is limited to hello and thank you. Cannot comment on the food as we went out most nights. Having auto shut black out blinds meant a perfect nights sleep which is what was most important to me this time. Breakfast is amazing too!

The views from this hotel are unbelievable. I couldn't believe my eyes as I was having breakfast in the glass room on one of the top floors. You can clearly all of shanghai with its majestic skyscrapers. The rooms were very comfortable, beds and bathroom are gorgeous. The only bad thing was the room service. The food was really average, I expected more from a grand Hyatt .

It was free to enter the hotel and bar (use lift etc)

I wasn't dressed properly for a nice bar but the staff were kind.

I was moved to a premium window seat when someone else left. View over Jinmao tower and Pearl tower was jaw dropping.

2 glasses of wine plus nuts was £300 but so worth it.

Of course you can't miss the Jinmao tower and stay there if it is your first time in Shanghai. There are a lot of business people but also a few tourists. Everything was perfect: the cleanliness of the room, the amability of the staff and the good food. And don't forget to go to the top of the building (it's free for the guests).

Top notch business hotel. Super fast service and every business amenity you can think of: power adaptors for blackberry, laptops, iPhones, fast printing, fax, etc. You name it they got it, and they're FAST. Room service is also super fast (usually 20 mins or less). However, remember this is a BUSINESS hotel - it's not close to anyone of the major sights in Shanghai and there's nothing to do in Pudong, so if you're here for pleasure, I would recommend many of excellent choices on the other side of the river. For business trips in Pudong, I doubt you can do much better than this. I've also stayed at the Park Hyatt across the street -- while the Park is much "cooler" and has much more "wow" factor-- I find the service at the Grand Hyatt to be much more efficient. So for business trips, my vote would be the Grand.

Great big rooms with spectacular view. Big bathrooms with a shower and a tup. Location is not fantadtic for shopping as in middle of financial district. None of the bars are any good. Didnt try the restaurants, but breakfast was great, but service a bit slow.
