5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

Wonderful service, great room and facilities, I travel a lot and found the hotel exceptionally well valued cost/effectiveness, three top points in favor of this hotel:
1. Business club on the 83th floor – breakfast and dinner are amazing.
2. Spa – the Jacuzzi in the man looker room (don’t know how is it like in the women’s side).
3. Service – staff are excitingly nice, helpful and charming.
All in all - a great experience.
Enjoy

Room Tip: River side - Pearl Tower view

We stayed here one night (New Years Day 2013) on the 72nd floor. Sadly not longer, as the room, view, facilites -gym/pool and buffet breakfast were superb. Well located in Pudong with a 'clean' internet feed and service (check-in/out, at the pool/gym and breakfast) in line with expecations for a grand hyatt.

The Grand Hyatt in the heart of the financial center of Pudong is the ideal basis for exploring the pulsating city. A great comfort as you would expect from a Hyatt. Rooms are very generous with a huge comfortable bed and a high class bathroom. The bar is extremely chilling, the restaurant is perfect. Great Wellness and sports area. Personal very kind and helpful. All in all a very stylish stay and a clear recommendation.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on a higher floor as the smog can be be very dense further down

I recently stayed in the Grand Hyatt Shanghai with a friend during a visit to the city for a wedding. Although we came as "tourists", the hotel is better suited/caters to business travelers. Overall, the hotel was well situated amongst the office high-rises near the IFC mall/WFC. The check-in and check-out process went smoothly and the staff was very accomodating in allowing my friend and I to split the bill at checkout as well as pay in both cash and with credit.
We enjoyed the breakfast buffet on the 54th floor with excellent views of the Bund. The breakfast offerings were top notch. We did not have the chance to try any of the other restaurants within the hotel.
The room we had was spacious with two twin beds on the 77th floor. As expected, the views were excellent and the room was large, comfortable, clean and well-kept despite being relatively "old" for the Pudong area.
Overall, I found the hotel, its staff and amentities to be quite good. Although I would not necessarily stay here again as a tourist (given its Pudong location) I would absolutely stay at the hotel again as a business traveler and highly recommend this hotel to those requiring a hotel room in the Pudong area.

Highly efficient hotel. Service level improving over the 10 months period. Room are efficient with Internet, international and local paper. Japanese restaurant there serves very good quality food. Breakfast spread is not as exciting and wide compared to one of their competitor, but still pretty good.

First time I have been at event and trade showed at this hotel. From check in staff to the staff at the exhibition / conference area - they all performed excellently with great customer service. Breakfast selection very good and seemed to be always replenished regularly. Lunches served at venue was also a good selection too.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the renovated rooms they are very good

I really enjoyed my stay and won't forget this hotel. Big room, big nice Bath up, and excellent service from the staff. Great location to the shopping area, very convenient. Most of all, the view from the top is amazing! I only had a chance to stay one night, but will definitely stay in this great hotel again when I come to Shanghai. Excellent!
