“Wow! Perfeck Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

This is not the newest hotel in Shanghai but it is very nice.
Rooms are large!
Shower is great and it has a nice big bathtub.
Breakfast is very good & the views are extensive as well!

Staff, need I say more..... the staff are everywhere, just there to greet you and to make sure your stay is a good one.

During my stay the sky was clear (without mist or fog) and I could see all the way around the hotel and across to The Bund!

Location is very central being only walking distances to the Pearl Tower and the "Bottle Opener" tallest building in the city.

The Bar CLOUD NINE is very nice too with good views as long as the skies are clear.

Room Tip: The Twin Room consists of two double beds. So essentially if you are travelling with your family and...

I really loved this hotel although the bed was to hard. Lovely bathroom and service. Attended a conference, great conference rooms and staff although a little shy and sometimes difficult to converse with staff. Food very good. The location is great for access to IFC shopping and great shopping mall. Overall Shanghia is a fantstic experience spotless clean city with very friendly people. The smog and lack of blue sky is a bit depressing. Guys there is a great tailor in the finacial tower next door make suits or jackets in a couple of days fantastic quality. Fantastic free Wifi.

Room Tip: Ask for a river side view .

What can I say. Want the best, ready to spoil yourself in Shanghai. This is the place. I stayed in the 88th floor. You're up with the clouds in the morning. The executive floor breakfast, after hours snacks and cocktails are top! Great location to walking, and shopping too of course. Its just a 10 min walk to the Apple store with is a master piece of architecture to see! Only draw-backs are the costs to stay. Not cheep.

Reception on level 54 (about). Excellent sky bar with views for cocktails.
Atrium is amazing. Probably the best Grand Hyatt we have stayed in.
Views of the river and Bund which you get from most rooms.
Location is also good for tours and even for walking.

I'm at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai now. Not a hugh room for a 5* hotel but nice. Bed is a bit firm for my liking but a great bathroom. There's a control panel for lights, blinds etc.(love that). I've dined for breakfast & lunch in the restaurant... for and service is of a high standard. Check-in is on level 54 and rooms are above, so great views all round. I believe there's a pool so look forward to a swim later. The hotel is right in the city, a distinctive style easy to see and get back to, walk to the Bund and shopping. I look forward to the next 5 days here.

Went there on business and was glad that the conference was here. The hotel is outstanding, no more no less. The service from the minute the porter gets your bag and accompanies you up the the 54th floor reception, to the bar staff on the 87th floor, to the breakfast with a view of Pudong skyline, and the facilities like the conference and gym is outstanding. Spent some time in all the bars, including Piano on 53, room was on 81 with view if the Park Hyatt next door. One word of warning, the hotel car is 800 yuan to pick you up from the airport. A taxi is 180 so dot bother with the hotel car, but try and take instructions with you in Chinese for the taxi driver as it would surprise you that the drivers don't really know any English so they don't know Jin Mao Tower no matter how you say it. The concierge in the hotel give you this cool sheet for any place you want to go that has instructions in Chinese for a taxi driver which you should make use out of if you can.
