I stayed in this hotel on a short business trip. This was my first Four Seasons experience but I did not find it particularly impressive.
Its location is somewhat average - I would not consider it as convenient or the center of the city. There was a construction site right next to hotel, which also belongs to Four Seasons Group and a Starbucks was just across the street. It is within walking distance to Nanjing West Road subway station and the neighboring lively restaurants/shopping areas but you have to pass through some dark alleys without much street lights.
The lobby of the hotel was huge but it lacked of any characters or luxurious taste. My first impression was another typical Chinese-owned hotel settings. The service of the staff was just okay - could have been more attentive and smiles.
I was given a corner room on a reasonably-high floor but there were not much views from the windows except for all these skyscrapers. The room was in decent size and fairly furnished. What I liked most was the bathroom - very spacious and nicely decorated with my favourite L'occitane products. Other than that, the room was not particularly special.
After a long day at work, I did pamper myself by having a massage at Qin the Spa. I had their signature Imperial Dragon massage - which was very relaxing and helped me relieve all the stress. I would highly recommend this to other guests.
I am not sure if I will pay to stay in this hotel for full price. There are many other better choices around the Bund and Puxi.
