“Nice service and good rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

The JW Marriott Hotel at Tomorrow Square is a good and clean place to stay. The rooms are clean and well maintained and the business lounge well appointed. Staff is friendly and pleasant. The lobby is nice, with amazing views. The only down side of the hotel is that the elevators are slow and it can take minutes in busy traffic hours to get to get an elevator and get to the desired floor.
The rooms are not out of the ordinary but surely suitable for a 5 star. A good business hotel - but not exceptional.

Stayed the first time at JW Marriott at Tomorrow Square. Location is great. At walking distance you will find stores, restaurants, people square, the fake market, nandjing road and so on. Just ask a map at reception and of you go. I rented a serviced appartment and it was spacious. Good bed, good bathroom and so on. In the hotel you have to be mindfull of the elevators as there are different ones taking you to different floors. In oder to have breakfast I had to go from the 27th to the 36th floor go out get the hotel lift to reach floor 38 for breakfast. The Gym is great as well. In the lobby you will find a Starbucks and a store to buy some food and drinks. Very helpfull. The breakfast and service are up to standards, but ai would say slightly less than the Westin atbthe Bund where I also stayed. However this location is better and they offer appartments. I made reservations for next month with my family. Be awarebthat the 6 people appartment si actualy a 5 people appartment unless you put two adults in a 120 cm sofa bed..... Just ask for an extra roller bed and make sure you don't pay for it as they offer this appartment for 6 people!

Our association booked the JW Marriott at Tomorrow Square for its Asia/Pacific conference. The hotel is very nice and the service was impeccable. The banquet and conference staff were very attentive (even those that did not speak English), helpful and flexible. The food was very good. Great views from primary restaurant and bar. Near Nanjing Street and shopping without being too close.

Third or fourth time staying here, but hadn't been back in over a year.....at check in, they welcomed me back like I was just there last week. Had a corner room on a high floor (aren't they all), and it was very nice - the bed was very comfortable - not too hard as they can be in this part of the world. Ate breakfast both at the lobby restaraunt and at the lounge.....both were good but if they weren't included probably wouldn't be worth it. The starbucks around the back of the lobby makes a great latte. Really like the location - about in the middle of where I want to be in Shanghai.

We stayed at this hotel, based on a recommendation received earlier. The stay was satisfying from the need of a business hotel, in terms of attention, speed of response and choice of food and ambience.

I had the opportunity to be booked there twice by my company within the past months, before we got sent to another hotel. I would say that all of JW's employees are eager to please. They're very attentive and personable with their smiles. The standard rooms are really comfortable and luxurious with good views, and some of the amenities are great - the gym, pool and saunas. I wouldn't expect much from a typical hotel's restaurant, but this one has a good selection of continental and oriental food (I only had time for breakfast there). I wish my company would renegotiate a better rate with this hotel. The location alone is worth it - it's close proximity to People's Park, but not as crowded and less solicitors as in the other hotel,

My wife and I are Platinum Elite Members of the Marriott Hotel Chain and usually stay at their Hotels if possible. Last week we stayed 5 nights at this fine Hotel. Marriott has done everything right at their new Shanghai location at Tommorow Square. The service was outstanding, I have never had so much attention given us at any other Hotel we have ever stayed at. The First morning in their Cafe the Hotel General Manager Mr. Silvio Rosenberger greeted us at our table and wanted to make sure everthing was satisfactory with our room and the Service so far. What a fine gentlemen, he is a credit to the Marriott Chain. The next morning The Cafe Manager Mr. Siem Bierman greeted us as well and discussed the Hotel and its services and also gave us some tips for things to do in Shanghai. We were upgraded to a Suite on the 46th floor, more room than two people needed, beautifully appointed, Bathroom so large 4 people could be in it at the same time. New large Shower with Jacuzzi Shower heads, also the Bath was a Jacuzzi as well, new Flat screens TV's in both rooms and TV Speakers in both Bathrooms. What a great view of the Shanghai City. We decided to take our Breakfast in their Cafe located on the 38th Floor rather than use the Breafast provided at the Executive Club which is up on the 96th Floor. Suich a wonderful variety of Food. We visited their Exec Lounge most every night where complimentary Beverages and food were served around 5:00 PM, again great service here w/free access to the Internet and up-to-date daily newspapers in English including the daily USA TODAY. The Hotel was convenient to the popular Nanging Road and only 1 block to the Subway. I just can't say enough about this Beautiful Facility and the people who run it. Would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone

Room Tip: The higher floors have the best view, but then rooms start at the 38th floor, so most rooms have an...
