“Nice experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

We first tried to get a reservation at a different Lost Heaven branch but it was booked so six of us went to the one at the Bund. The food was tasty but seemed more Western. There were mostly Westerners eating at the restaurant. The room was dark and it was very loud. The service was above average.

“Very average dining experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

This restaurant is over rated. It is so dark the menus are hard to read and both the food and service are average. Some of the dishes were overcooked and lacked flavor. I had anticipated spicy Hunan food and was most disappointed. The wine list was poor and staff provided no insight into the many dishes on the menu other than saying that steamed dishes would take a long time. It does not live up to the expectation of a good dining experience.

“Great food, bad service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

We booked a table for 9pm and ended up eating at 9.50pm. This wouldn't have been too bad except for the overly rude manager who refused to apologise or give us any kind of compensation for the wait. And it wasn't just us, many others were also waiting, and for a lot longer than us. Once we got to the restaurant (we hung out in the bar waiting for our table), things improved. Good food, great range, good prices and kindly staff. I'd say 9 out of 10 but wouldn't rush back as the manager was so infuriating! Shame... put a dampener on the rest of the night.

“Lunch on the Bund”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013 via mobile

Enjoyed a lovely Saturday lunch with friends on the Bund. Spacious restaurant with delicious Chinese food, nice selection of beer and wines and friendly service. The menu offers a myriad of choices with English subtitles and appetite pleasing pictures. My favourite was the lettuce wraps with pork filling....the ribs and dumplings were delicious too! All in all a great dining experience...can't wait to go back!

“Nice variety of appealing dishes !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

It is a very good restaurant, all the food served that night was very tasty. The ambiance is quite nice, a bit loud though (The room is very big and often crowded it seems).
Like many places on the Bund, there was a majority of foreigners so one could doubt if it is typical chinese food or not, but it was excellent nevertheless, really enjoyed it..
