“Fast, clean, quiet and on time.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Fast, clean, quiet and on time. That's good enough for me. They even let you know how fast you're travelling!

“doesn't deserve its bad reputation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

I've been on the high speed rail 3 times and each experience has been superb. Check in and boarding at the state-of-the-art Honqiao hub is painless. The ride itself is exceptionally smooth, quiet, and fast. Seats even in Second Class are comfortable, with ample legroom and generous recline. The trip was over too soon.

“BEATS THE AIRLINES”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

love the price in first class, love the punctuality, love the destressful nature of shanghai to beijing travel, love the big seats, altoughthey could be a little more advanced, love arriving in the middle of the city, love the views, even still, after 4 trips, love the opportunity to see people from work and play get on and off the various cities along the way.
essentially i love that this is one thing you can really depend on in china to deliver.
i do not like the food and bevarge options, the entertainment and the seemingly cold and distant attendants.
but you can take you own and hope they try to be as sociable as possible.
at least they don't throw the fried green beans at you.

otherwise ALL ABOARD!
bests the stress of airline travel and the uncertainity you will leavr or arrive on time.
then you need to get to town, another hour or longer squeezed into the back of a small beijing cab.

“Nice flying experience just off the ground”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Trains were very clean and are running very accurate to its timetable. Since it runs above ground, can feel the speed and objects movement.

“Best in World - Maglev”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Shanghai Maglev is the first Maglev train in the world apart from the original German one; but it’s the first to be used for public transport. It’s the most amazing train one can travel and experience. Its superfast (400++KM/hour) and very comfortable. Makes you reach city center in mere 7 or 8 mins.Train design is top class and the stations are futuristic .Maglev is Shanghai big plus over any other Global city for sure.
