I imagine this garden was tranquil and beautiful in it's heyday. As is the case with most Chinese tourist attractions Guyi Garden has been renovated and restored to the point it has absolutely no link to the past it claims to be a relic of.
You can hear the hum of the traffic in most parts of the small garden and where you can you can hear crappy Chinese musac piped through little speakers.
I must congratulate them on the toilets which were pretty clean for Chinese toilets, however it's a little far to travel and 12RMB is a little expensive for a trip to the toilet.
