“Waking up to panoramic view of The Bund”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

If you on a business trip to Shanghai , I would like to recommend an excellent hotel , Hotel Indigo , located at the Huangpu riverside facing the famous The Bund. Excellent breakfast , good gym facilities and spa too. All the front counter staff speak fluent English and likewise the staff at the restaurant too. By the way , they have one of the best steak in town !
You will enjoy the breathtaking view of from yr room the skyscrapers in financial district inclusive of the Pearl Tower .

Room Tip: Choose room facing the Huangpu river and the higher the better!

The hotel is located at The Bund, near to Pier 16 side. The view from the room window is unforgettable, especially at night. You can see the Pearl Tower and all other glittery skyscraper from your room while sipping your premium Chinese tea, provided complimentary.
You can even view the sparkling Shanghai night skyline and the ships on the river from your bath up!
Definitely worth the money.
I would recommend anyone to upgrade their room to ones with river view.

Hotel Indigo is about 10 minutes walk to Nanjing Road.
If you don't feel like walking, you can take taxi / motorbike "taxi". Remember to bargain though :)

Room Tip: I would recommend anyone to upgrade their room to ones with river view.

This hotel is amazing! Great location, great staff, great view! Just perfect for a stay in Shanghai. Near everything, with a breathtaking view. Until now, one of my favorites. A must stay if you go to Shanghai!

Room Tip: Choose rooms facing the river and the tallest, the better.

This hotel has everything a demanding client wants.. Service, design, good materials, beautiful views, extremely helpful staff, beautiful rooms.. One word.. It deserves a 10!
The higher rooms will give you a better perspective from the city and night lights...

Room Tip: It is worth to have one of the corner rooms, so that you have the city and river view..

Without doubt one of the best designed and run hotels I in China.

On the one hand, Hotel Indigo is very well appointed. The location is excellent, with impressive views down the river, to the Bund, and across to Pudong. The rooms are stylish and comfortable (this is the feel all those 'boutique' hotels are trying to achieve). The breakfast is superb, and the staff all well trained.

But its the thoughtful little details that make this hotel stand out. The 'Japanese breakfast' came presented in a layered wooden box. The wifi coverage is free, and it's the same network through the hotel, so you're not constantly logging in and out. The massage chairs in the lounge. They even had that critical little white cable to link a MacBook Air to the projector in the meeting room.

This is the kind of hotel that if, like Van Halen, you'd asked them to provide a bowl of M&M's with the brown ones taken out, they would have done it. Full marks.

I loved this hotel from the second they picked me up in an indigo blue e-class Mercedes. The rooms are stylish yet modern, the Bund view is amazing, the wifi is free! Check out the massage chairs & free large screen Macs in the Me-Space before heading up for amazing foie gras at Char Bar. Pool immaculate & always empty, staff helpful & always greet you with a cheery Nihao! Very pleased!

The Bund in Shanghai is a must go - this hotel is 10 min away.
Room is not big but modern decor.
Bathroom is modern.
Free internet but not fast, yet better than those which charge you RMB 120 a day with snail speed.
Breakfast : exquisite.

Room Tip: Ask for advice at the reception - you always get good advice.
