“Nice hotel, good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

This a very nice hotel in the Pudong area of China. It's walking distance to numerous good restaurants and a nice mall, and just a short taxi ride to Xinyang Market, a large underground shopping mall. Taxi's into Shanghai are very cheap, maybe $10 or $12 US. The rooms were very clean, nice bathrooms, comfy beds and nice common areas. The buffet breakfast is one of the best I've been to around the world.

Room Tip: If you're choosing a double room, make sure you get a true double. Some of them are king rooms w...

Joining business trip with short China Holiday it was very good choice. Little bit outside of the downtown (20min by cab), but near to the Exhibition Trade Fair Centre (10 min by cab) and to the Pudong Intl Airport (30min by cab). Very helpful staff, especially the concierge service, managed buying the flight and train tickets for us, wenn we decided to visit Beijing and Wuxi. Relatively good spoken English, which is not common thing in China in general. Very good and variety breakfest, both western and chinese cuisine. Large rooms, good W-LAN and WiFi connections for free, large swimming pool and jacuzzi. No problem with late check out on the last day of our stay. Everything great, next time again!

Stayed here for a business trip recently and found the location a little out from town. Getting around is mostly using a taxi, be prepared for a 10-15 min wait for it in the mornings heading to work. Service level was good, with a decent level of English being spoken. At 2pm I tried to check in but was told my room was not ready and that a complimentary drink was being provided while they rushed it for me. Food at the lobby lounge is not good, you will have better luck at the mall beside the hotel.

Room was clean, and well-kept. Liked the different options for pillows provided (soft and firm).

The hotel is walking distance to the metro (15 mins) but the route there looks very dark especially in the evenings. I would not recommend it, you'd be better off taking the taxi.

Overall, good value - but I will have to give it a 3-star rating due to the location and amenities around it.

Good hotel, in Pudong Area, close to Longyan Maglev Station
Facilities are new & in good conditions. There is a Shopping mall with a lot of food options very close. Two Subway stations are in walking distance (15 mins).

I spent some time at this hotel back in 2011, and was impressed with it's facilities, staff, and price. As I was back in Shanghai with my family this year, I decided to stay again. While it is more geared for the foreign business traveler, it suited us traveling as a family just fine. After 3 years, everything was just as good as I remembered it. Best of all for Western travelers, there is a mini mall of sorts on the left as you exit the hotel, with a number of nice Chinese restaurants, a KFC and a Starbucks.

This hotel is geared to the Western traveler, and should suit your needs. It's not fancy, but very nice, especially considering the ~ $100 USD a night that can be hard to find in Shanghai. The one small downside is that it's a little bit outside of downtown Shanghai (i.e. The Bund) but that's only a cab ride away.

We had a meeting in this hotel. Everything was well prepared and arranged. A nice suite room was upgraded with fruit set up, really enjoyed the room. Meeting ran smoothly and the coffee tea break was really nice. Also, good local Shanghai food in Chinese Restaurant.

I found the hotel to be very clean and a delight to stay at. The level of English is much better than the vast majority of Chinese hotels, from the time I checked in I did not have any problems with language. Including front desk staff, restaurants, room service and the hotel executives I dealt with were fluent. While it is indeed not centrally located the Metro station is a 10 minute walk away. My pet peeve is the bathrooms in Chinese hotels which usually includes mold and poor lighting. This is not the case here, it was spotless. I will stay again.
