I'm often difficult when it comes to chains but Yang's merits it's acclaim in spades. I noticed a review stating 'not haute cuisine': Seeing you can eat plenty for CNY20 for two (yes, 20, not 200), I think it is clear they never pretended to be anything other than a very well executed fast food outlet specialising in Shanghainese Xiaolongbao dumplings; these are quite a large mouthful, filling and contain a brothy stock, which is the point (that make burning your mouth a regular occurrence if you're not careful!). Not only are the latter delicious, so are the fish ball broth soup (aromatic, light, cleansing; 8rmb) and the spicy beef soup (warming, more texture on the palate; 8rmb). On top that the outlets are pretty clean and we've never had any problems afterwards. Very popular you often need to queue but service is very fast; they open early and close early.
