“Quirky & delightful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

A artsy place to view the local craft work & quirky find. A line of alfresco eatery soak within old Shanghai, its really a love mix new & old. I will certainly revisit this place again!

“Have Fun Exploring”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

Loved the wandering little maze of streets with cool shops, funky resturants and bars, its a comforting scale compared to the rest of the city.

“Facinating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

What a great and interesting place to visit - although it's bustling and packed even "off-peak" so keep your wits about you and expect all your senses to be bombarded!

“Great place to shop - get a real taste of Shanghai, this is a must do.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

You my be paying a little extra here but what a great place to spend an hour or so to shop or take a drink. This place is a maze of small alleyways with a thousand tiny shops selling almost anything. It is worth a visit just for the atmosphere, soak up a peice of real China in an otherwise modern city. If you take some soverneirs home form here , the memory of the place will last for ever.
This is a must do in Shanghai.

“Cute little lanes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

This little complex is very touristy and usually packed but its cute. The old Shukomen houses have all been renovated into little shops, art and crafts, nick knacks, jewellery and restaurants and bars. Its good fun and I can recommend Kommune for a great bite to eat, they serve soup in the old style thermos flasks, cute.
